Impressive

My friend who is an attorney had to attend a meeting here and invited me to tag along. Why not? From the moment you walk into the lobby, you feel as though you are entering a home. The staff greets you as if they are your hosts & hostesses not as employees. The rooms are tastefully decorated. The beds are made impeccably and are so comfortable you do not want to get up. There is a Nepresso machine for coffee with more than enough sugar and creamer (most places give you the packs with two sugars). Even on low pressure (yes, you can choose), the shower felt amazing. The room has to have some kind of sound proofing because the law firm bought out the inn and I never heard another door close or a persons voice in the hallway. The staff is friendly without being overbearing. I was always greeted with a smile and hello when passing through the lobby. Ashley at the bar is engaging, personable and makes an amazing margarita. The pool is as nicely maintained as the rest of the grounds. All in all, I was impressed. I'd definitely recommend this inn to anyone looking for an amazing stay in Hilton Head. For the price I expected more

I guess I caught the staff at a bad time(just after the golf tournament), very few staff working. I had read great reviews about this hotel but it did not live up to the press. The high point for the week was the valet that worked 4/22-4/24. He was very helpful and efficient. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Uncomfortable and simply not worth it

Apr 13th, 2019

Although we have stayed there annually for the past four years, this last trip will be our last. the pace simply isn't worth the price, the staff there makes it very uncomfortable. Simple requests that virtually every top level hotel would bend over backwards to fulfill becomes a major management issue at this place, and the manager is simply lacking in consideration for the guests. Rooms were okay, amenities simply lacking, andstaff is so stiff that you find yourself trying to avoid them more than anything else. Can;t imagine who is actually training them. This last trip will be our last. Too many other options in the area that appear far better. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Wonderful!

Apr 4th, 2019

We stayed three nights recently and couldn't have been more pleased. The rooms were immaculate, beautifully decorated and comfortable. Bedding and towels were extremely nice. Very quiet. No slamming doors or air/heat cut on and off! Service and amenities were great. Loved being able to ask for bicycles and they were brought out to you in a snap. Lobby and outdoor areas were comfortable, relaxing and perfect for sitting and enjoying a beverage. Could not think of anything that this hotel overlooked! Couple of tips though...one - call the hotel to book. If you book through somewhere else, you might find an almost $200 add-on for resort fees, etc that were not disclosed by the third party! And second - on your check-out day, put your "Do Not Disturb" sign out as check-out is 11 but we had housekeeping trying to get in at 9:00! A little frustrating when you are trying to get showers, pack up, etc. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Absolutely a must stay!

Apr 1st, 2019

We stayed here for four nights end of March. The inn is very well kept and clean. The rooms are gorgeous, amply supplied and taken care of. Of course there is turn down service but this goes above and beyond the usual service. They make sure every thing you could want and need is ready for you. They have about five or so "butlers". They are available 24/7 for anything you could possible want (we provided one large tip at the end which they share). The manager, Alex?, and the butlers were just too great for words. Everything we asked for was taken care of immediately. There is no "call room service" or "housekeeping". You just call or text your butler anything you need and it is at your room within give minutes. Breakfast was there in 10 minutes! If you need a ride anywhere in Sea Pines, which is big in area, they drive you and pick you up. The butlers are all interns from Europe studying hospitality. The idea of the butler is ingenious, however, I am not sure why all of them are from Europe. I almost gave this four stars because I would have liked to see them also hiring interns from USA and give our kids a chance at such a great experience. Maybe they do at other times but I didn't see one there at this trip. The golf courses are fabulous and well maintained, however, do watch out for the alligators. There was a seven footer one foot from my ball! We had to wait for him to move and he looked angry! I heard a woman was killed by an alligator there last year. But even this won't stop me from returning here! We will be back. After one day my husband said when are we coming back We travel for pleasure 10 or more times a year and stay at the best places so this is a lot coming from him. We will definitely be back!
