Beautiful property with great rooms in a unique area

Jan 20th, 2020

My partner and I recently stayed at the Inn for a winter getaway. We loved it and will definitely return: - The room: We stayed in a lovely Garden Cottage - it was spacious with a real wood fire place and a sitting table where we could play board games. - The property: great, lush landscaping. The fitness center was well stocked for a property of this size and the pool offered a great mix of sun and shade - The restaurant: we only ate at Morada for brunch but no complaints - The area: while we did a lot of sight seeing in the city, it was a very reasonable and scenic commute and we really enjoyed getting out of the city for the R&R portion of our trip TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We got married here - Best Day of Our Lives

Jan 9th, 2020

We just got married 10 days ago at the Inn at Rancho Santa Fe (New Year's Eve!) and I have to say that quite frankly it was the best day of our lives thanks in large part to the people at the beautiful Inn at Rancho Santa Fe. I have to start by calling out by calling out the incredible woman we worked with the whole time - Rebecca. Not only did she make the planning process a breeze (and a ton of fun), she was a saint on our wedding day - bringing me bread when I was too nervous to eat lunch, driving my wife around in a golf cart, finding scissors to help fix my frayed bow tie. Literally anything I needed she was right there. To anyone looking for a place to get married, having an angel to work with is pretty invaluable. The rest of the staff was unbelievable as well. The head barman / jack of all trades - Dutch, always made sure we had our favorite cocktails available and made sure that we were taken care of, no matter what we needed. Claude took such good care of us during the wedding, anything we needed was just a glance away. The front desk had nothing but smiles for us and all of our guests and were constantly helping us with anything we needed or wanted. The entire staff at the Inn made us feel as though they were personally monitoring our happiness and I can honestly say that we have never felt more VIP than the way they made us all feel. As far as the Inn itself, it is stunning. All of our guests kept coming up to us telling us how enchanting the Inn was. The faint smell of a fireplace, the cozy surroundings in a beautiful environment. We are already planning our next weekend trip back to relax and enjoy this absolutely wonderful place. To anyone looking for a place to get married or just a weekend escape to relax, I can honestly say that you cannot make a better choice than the Inn at Rancho Santa Fe. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Spa Retreat

Dec 15th, 2019

Just had a fab overnight stay at The Inn at RSF - our casita was fabulous, we loved the real fireplace and burnt one of the Fire Logs before going to bed. If staying over a weekend definitely check out the Cocktail Lab at The Huntsman Whiskey Bar (Saturday nights) with bartending whizz, Dutch House. A real highlight of the stay had to be the massage treatment I had with Christy. The spa itself is peaceful and serene the relaxation room/patio has teas, water and refreshments and a really cute 'make your bath salt' bar with dried lavender, roses, chamomile, and Epsom salts, etc. If you want to walk out with your soul feeling lighter, soothed and enlightened, Christy will work her magic on you. Wildly Disappointing

Nov 30th, 2019

We were looking forward to spending Thanksgiving at the Inn, but WOW was this a terrible experience. When we arrived the woman at check-in told us our rooms were in the annex. We asked if there was a closer room available, and she snarkily responded that the hotel was full and that we could just leave if we wanted to. Way to greet guests who've just shelled out almost $400 a room for multiple rooms! Two of our rooms were in the Annex. Cottage cheese walls, cheap Home Depot bottom of the barrel flooring, hideous furniture and an awful painting in the bathroom that was falling out of its frame. In case you missed it, yes we paid almost $400 a room for this. Another in our party had a much nicer room but a leaky ceiling. A third had a shower that drip drip dripped all night long. This is a super upscale community and they should be embarrassed by the ill-maintained rooms and terrible front desk staff. Honestly, we would have walked out if there was anywhere else to stay, but since it was Thanksgiving weekend that wasn't going to happen. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great rooms

Oct 13th, 2019

Super friendly staff, and very helpful. Tennis court that they advertise with is a dump with no net and big cracks all over the place. But hotel super cool and nice. Going thru reconstruction right now - so restrooms are away from main reception and restaurant which is a little inconvenient. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
