Amazing time!

Jan 19th, 2020

My husband and I stayed here for the first time and absolutely loved it!!!! The room was very nice and cozy, it felt like a home. The breakfast was spectacular, my husband went up 3 different times to get more food! The breakfast is continental, but it’s not your normal one, it has very high quality and delicious food. David White was especially helpful during our trip! We can’t wait to go back! We have already started trying to plan our next visit here! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I had a wonderful stay. Came for business and they have a lovely business center. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay in my charming room. No elevators but otherwise fully equipped. Wonderful breakfast spread! Will be coming back next time I’m in Detroit! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great experience

Jan 5th, 2020

I was fortunate enough to stay here for a night prior to an interview at a major Detroit hospital. All of the staff was friendly and helpful - Torence specifically was great! I stayed in the Pungs house on the first floor. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom clean. Breakfast was amazing - fresh eggs, avocado, a great fruit display, and plenty of coffee to be had. Free parking in the back. Would definitely stay here again!!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Elegant lodging

Dec 30th, 2019

We love this elegant inn that's situated near the Detroit Institute of Art and Wayne State University. The rooms are well appointed; the breakfast (included in the room rate) is very nice. I'd love to give the inn a rating of 5; however, we feel as if maintenance is a challenge for the innkeepers. To be specific, the bank of windows in our third-floor room were noticeably dirty, and the bed frame had come apart. In both of these maintenance issues, remedies could have been easily accomplished--the windows open into the room, so there would be no problem keeping them clean, and after some heavy lifting, I was able to reassemble the bed frame. Again, we love this inn and will plan to stay there again. We just hope the innkeepers can carefully look at maintenance issues to ensure keeping this Detroit treasure in top condition.
