A wonderful hotel experience

Feb 13th, 2019

We have not been to the Jefferson in a number of years.we've always had fond memories of staying here. Now, staying here again, I realize we didn't give it enough applause! This truly a wonderful hotel. Perfect place to stay while in D.C. If at all possible, stay here. Our room on 6th floor had a lovely sitting room and separate bedroom. Large bathroom, plenty of towels, magnifying mirror, shower pressure very strong. Illy coffee maker. Lunch in bar w Frank. Chef concierge Christopher Adcock is so knowledgeable and kind. If you were going to stay anywhere in D.C. stay here if at all possible. You won't be disappointed. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Service is first class!

Feb 12th, 2019

This is our second experience in this hotel. First of all, the service from every employee we encountered was amazing. From check-in to last minute arrangments for car services, everything was perfect. We had breakfast twice in the casual dining area, and both meals were very good. The mattress was beyond comfortable! Was odd that in a King Room, there were only two pillows (plus the big shams). I found a pillow in the closet, but still odd that four pillows were not available. Also a bit stingy on the towels and wash clothes, but we asked for more and we had more than enough. The room was very quiet and comfortable, but the bathroom was very tiny. Only one sink which made it difficult/impossible for two people to get ready in the morning at the same time. Next trip, I will definitely book a room with a bigger bathroom. The location can't be beat. I was able to have a good run to the Mall in the morning, and we walked everywhere-the Cap Center, Old Ebbitt Grill, and shopping. Great location! I'd stay here again without reservation. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Complete Perfection in DC

Feb 9th, 2019

The Jefferson is an absolutely phenomenal hotel. We stayed in a Deluxe King that was complete perfection - a huge deep soaking tub with bath salts, crisp sheets, and a top-notch housekeeping team that made the 5-star difference. We were celebrating a birthday and the staff left a lovely note and macaroon selection in our room upon arrival. Afterwards, we treated ourselves to drinks at the Quill bar - amazing cocktails and a great live pianist on weekends. In the morning we enjoyed complimentary coffee in the book room - modeled to look like Jefferson's Monticello library. The cherry on top was having the hotel's resident historian show us some of the hotel's original Thomas Jefferson manuscripts. She was incredible and truly the highlight of our stay - and also pointed out signed books from famous guests that have stayed at the hotel as well (President Obama, Bill Gates, Neil Patrick Harris, Katie Couric, etc.) We concluded our weekend with brunch at the phenomenal Greenhouse. Overall, it was one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in - from service, to history, to design. Our new go-to hotel in DC (beats the Hay-Adams by miles). TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
