World-Class Five Star Hotel In Boston's Financial District

May 13th, 2019

We could not have asked for more professional service and comfortable accommodation. Great breakfast menu, with massive weekend buffet. Good bar with excellant seafood selections. Walking to many good restaurants. Love the walking distance mix of "new world" financial district convenience and "old Boston" historic streets. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good hotel but needs renovation

Apr 14th, 2019

The hotel is nice, it’s well located in the financial district and the service is great but the rooms could use a renovation. It just seems to be old and no updates in the decor in a really long time. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Changes are coming ... and it shows.

Mar 29th, 2019

I've heard that the Langham has new owners and that a remodel is coming. It was clear from my short stay that they are prepping for that now. For a high end hotel, this was an average experience. Although the rooms were up to what I have come to expect from the Langham (stayed here often times in the last few years), the staff and amenities were less accommodating. For me, the location is great and past service has been exceptional. Thus, I'll look forward to the new Langham experience. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good Experience

Mar 27th, 2019

Stayed at the Langham recently on business. I found it to be very clean, conveniently located to my companies office in the financial district, and fairly priced compared to other options I had. The staff was very friendly and my room was quiet. I made use of the gym and spa which I found to be good. They have have full lap pool with several lanes, better than most in a city location. I would recommend a stay at the Langham. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Afternoon Tea is fine but not exceptional

Mar 24th, 2019

Had high expectations having read the reviews about their afternoon tea. The room itself is open to the lobby, and we were first sat at a table that got a draft from the door. We were able to be re-seated at a smaller table. Overall, it is a nice space, however, but I would have preferred a more intimate setting for an afternoon tea.The tea we ordered, Silk Road and Langham English Breakfast were both very good. The food was plentiful but mixed in quality. The puff pastry for what tasted like chicken curry was stale. The lemon curd for the scones, by contrast, was exceptional. The custard dessert was also excellent. The other dishes were good to very good. The service at the start was very good and attentive. However, the server seemed to forget we were there and I could have used more hot water and waited nearly 15 min. before I could find my waiter to ask. In the end, it was fine. The piano music was lovely. The food was solid and the tea was very good. However, the experience was not as exceptional as I would have liked, nor is it as good as other afternoon teas I have gone to in Boston. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
