Highly Impressed

May 21st, 2019

New York City is known for its cramped hotel rooms - but the Family Room at The Langham was just perfect for the four of us. Minus the fact that the beds are doubles, when really 2 queens could easily fit in the room that's over 700 sq ft AND has 2 bathrooms plus, basically a full kitchen. Such great value. Also, the staff was wonderful. Everyone single one of them. I really appreciated our stay, and wouldn't hesitate to stay again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice hotel, high price

May 13th, 2019

We chose the Langham based on recommendations from a personal driver we use in NYC, website reviews and in the end, convenience to Madison Square Garden. First the lower ranked items: The location, while close to Madison Square Garden, is in the garment district with obvious business closing all around. Lord & Tayor used to be an anchor, but is closed and totally empty. The location is also not close to shopping, theatre or desirable restaurants. We upgraded to a beautiful room with windows all around, but had a few problems. The automatic curtains did not function; the toilet ran constantly and the bed was very uncomfortable. Engineering fixed the not functioning items once reported. For the bed, we tried a bed board, but since the top mattress (actually a mattress topper) was so thin, this made the bed more uncomfortable. We had the bed board removed and lived with the bed as it was. Finally, this hotel is very expensive. One could easily stay in one of the elite hotels on Central Park for the price they charged. For the good: The service staff was exceptional. Very friendly and responsive to every need. The room was beautiful. Especially the bathroom, which was large with white marble tile. The hotel is extremely convenient to Madison Square Garden, which was an initial requirement of ours. They have a hotel car which, when available, will take you 10 blocks or so free of charge. Overall, very nice hotel, but expensive. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Goldilocks NYC Hotel

Just right... Great location, great rooms. Big for NYC. Staff is great. Our room was high (24th floor), so no noise. Comfortable mattresses (pillows were weak- first worked problems!!). Shower is great- rain head and hand held with good pressure. Not inexpensive, but worth it. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Best view of the 5th Ave

Apr 29th, 2019

Enjoyed Sunday Brunch on the rooftop of the hotel, Amazing view of the 5th Ave, if you truly are a people watcher. I know, it’s not that high up, but still, the live DJ was amazing at 9am on a Sunday morning. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
