Peaceful Elegance in the heart of Midtown Manhattan

Jan 13th, 2020

I have stayed in several luxury hotels throughout Manhattan and The Langham is now at the top of my list for Midtown: Impeccable service, perfectly appointed spacious rooms and even a fitness centre where a regular gym-goer can get in a good workout. Bravo to the entire staff for prompt, courteous and attentive service, especially the doormen and porters who went out of their way to help us not only with our comings and goings at the hotel, but also with helpful tips throughout our stay. Best Hotel in NY!

Jan 7th, 2020

I researched a lot before booking The Langham. With the Ritz and Four Seasons as local options, I wanted to make sure the quality was there and let me tell you, the Langham does not disappoint. A shout out to Alexandra who contacted me before to better understand our trip and how she could help us while in NY. Upon arrival from a red-eye with my 9 year old, not only did The Langham accommodate an early check-in they were able to upgrade us to a Deluxe City View room. AMAZING!! Coming back each night to that unbelievable tub overlooking the Chrysler building was such a treat. Thank you Langham!! Alexandra also had a beautifully decorated tray of cookies and a personal welcome note to my son waiting in the room when we came back the first night. Alexandra you sure know how to make the little people at your hotel feel special, thank you. The private car service was also ready and on hand from our trips. While this is a first come, first serve offering, I found during our stay it was available more times than not. Lastly, a shout out to the team that takes care of the room. Thank you for the waters and yummy cookies at turn down and for the smaller plush robe that fit my son. I just want to thank everyone so much for making our trip one for the memory books. For travelers with families, also know that Door Dash has a multitude of selections to choose from that will deliver so you are not just limited to room service and there are four places right next door on each corner for other food options. There's also a CVS one block down if you need any toiletries, diapers etc. It's bar none one of the best locations if you are traveling with a family. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very Good "Entry Level" 5 Star, Excellent Location

Jan 2nd, 2020

We stayed here in November 19 for 5 days for our Anniversary. The hotel location is spot on. Central and can access almost all the main sites by foot (ridiculously close to the Empire State). Metro stations are walking distance too. The hotel has a classical but also a contemporary feel to it and hotel ambiance was just right. Hotel Lobby is very small compared to others (not a 'grand' lobby), but not many guests occupying the lobby so it didn't matter much The room was a very generous size and we had a partial view of the Empire State building. The bathroom was a very generous size. Staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The in-room welcome treat were Cookies and M&Ms??... We would have preferred a welcome drink, cake, flowers or something else. I'm not sure Cookies and M&Ms hit the mark. Room facilities were very good and wifi was excellent. Note, USB plug were confusing to find. They were not in their usual place, i.e. the power socket. Rather, they were connected to the table lamps (minor point but worth mentioning). Didn't even notice them there till 3rd day! We were on the 27th Floor so were cocooned from the street level noise (perfect), although we didn't have full Skyline views. The only other criticism I have was over the bathroom toiletries. They seemed "not premium", especially when the hotel is a 5 star. Furthermore, the loo rolls felt like they had been purchased from a local dollar store. They were practically see-through. Not what I expected from this brand. Overall, the experience was good. Nice room, clean and good facilities. If you are seeking an entry level five star hotel look no further. The hotel could do more to address the very minor points I raised around toiletries and loo roll. Perhaps it is something that might not bother most people. However, It will be small change for them but make large difference for guests. Obviously, rooms with Skyline or Empire State Building view would be best. But you do not intend to spend alot of time in the hotel (as we did) it won't matter much. I would not say it is worth the premium unless you are booking a suite TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Amazing Hotel, Staff, and Location!!!

Dec 31st, 2019

Stayed here for four nights. We had zero issues. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Anyone that gives this hotel less than four or five stars is a self centered, pretentious a**hole, period! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
