Perfectly quiet

Nov 22nd, 2019

After the cabin we rented was a bust, we called the lodge looking for an alternative. They had a room available which turned out to be 100% perfect. We wanted some place quiet but that had plenty of space. Our room had a full kitchen, private fireplace, private balcony, bedroom and 4-piece bathroom that included a jetted soaker tub. The property lacks some of the once available amenities that they lost in the fire in 2016 but it lent to the solitude this place offers. Most, if not all, of the rooms in the only building still standing were booked but it’s such a quiet location that it felt like we were in the secluded cabin we originally intended on staying in. The lodge is also a very short drive to town as well as right down the road from Ober Gatlinburg. The room was clean, and did have a unique smell. Not a musty smell, but almost woodsy like a cabin. It’s honestly the type of place you feel comfortable in and makes you sad to leave. The current property manager is super friendly and was quite helpful during our stay. We will stay here again if we ever make it back to Gatlinburg and would recommend it to anyone who asks. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Wonderful Spot for autumn!

Nov 5th, 2019

We stayed here for 8 days and had a great time! The view of the mountains from our balcony was spectacular and changed by the hour! Our suite included a king bed which was incredibly comfortable, jacuzzi tub and large walk in shower. We had a full kitchen which made putting on a crockpot dinner so easy while we toured the beautiful surroundings. And the gas fireplace was the icing on the cake. We loved it and plan to return next year. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Base Camp for Our Smoky Mountains Retreat

Oct 28th, 2019

We chose The Lodge at Buckberry Creek as our base camp to The Great Smoky Mountains and were not disappointed. As their picture shows, we had a beautiful view from our balcony and enjoyed the beautiful scenery with the changing weather conditions with a cup of coffee. Our room was comfortable - even having some homemade cookies - with a kitchen, living room and gas fireplace and the quiet being a short distance from Gatlinbug. We would definitely stay here again in the future. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Relaxing place to stay with easy access to Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Sep 8th, 2019

The rooms are very comfortable and include great amenities like a small kitchen, gas fireplace, balcony with amazing views, living room with TV, free WiFi, and large bathroom with a jacuzzi tub - excellent for relaxing after a long hike in the park! Easy drive into the park and can avoid Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. The property also has its own trail down to the creek, where you might encounter area wildlife including black bears! Would highly recommend staying here for a peaceful retreat where you can enjoy the natural beauty of the area. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Still a great place!

Aug 21st, 2019

We stayed here once before the fires and have returned twice since. While it’s only one building now, it’s still a very nice place to stay for the money! It’s up on the mountain and has great views. It’s a short drive to the park, Gatlinburg, and Pigeon Forge. It’s peaceful and if you’re lucky you’ll see a bear or two. We really hope they will rebuild someday. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
