Last minute booking

Feb 27th, 2021

We had to leave town early and booked online while driving to Jackson from Idaho. The price was fairly reasonable considering it was a Saturday night in February. The room was pretty spacious and had a gas light fireplace. Nice bathroom with a large shower. The only negative was the people who gathered around the door we had to go in and out of to smoke! Happened every time- we were parked around back. They block the doorway and we had to walk through the cloud of smoke. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

10-10 recommend.

We visited The Lodge in late December. We had an amazing time. The staff were all friendly the resort was nice. Carpet looked brand new & the hotel smelled amazing. Reading these other reviews has me wondering if they were at a different resort. We would 10/10 stay again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Room was very dirty!

Jan 2nd, 2021

Room was very dirty! Trash under dresser, dried dread bug on bathroom floor, bathroom floor had not been mopped since previous guest, dirt in sink and something on the counter. Manager apologized, but nothing more. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A mixed experience

Jan 1st, 2021

My husband and I stayed here Dec 21-27, meeting family who also stayed at the lodge. The hotel is cute, and we loved our room (we got one with a fireplace—highly recommend that). The outdoor jacuzzi was fantastic, though robes in the room would’ve been nice, especially for that. The shuttle is a great benefit and drove us on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The hotel did the best they could with grab and go breakfast and always had a vegetarian option. I did not feel there were any covid compliance issues, at least that the hotel could control. During our stay there were two problematic things that happened that would keep us from staying in the hotel again. First, we had booked through the hotel a Yellowstone snow coach tour. When we arrived and inquired about it, we were told that while they could see my attempted reservation (made in November), it “fell through the cracks” and the hotel had not booked it with the tour company. We were told the tour was now completely booked and unavailable. No apology was offered and my husband had to seek out replacement opportunities. Second, on Christmas Eve night, at 2am, the couple in the hotel room next door had a horrific screaming fight. Doors were slammed, items thrown, and profanities screamed (as well as suicide threats). After an hour, a hotel worker arrived telling them to be quiet or he would call the police. Screaming continued, and 20 minutes later, the police arrived. The police had to charge in the room and tackle the man because he wouldn’t show his hands. The police left after about 30 minutes saying no crime was committed. Almost immediately, the screaming started again. We could hear glass being thrown against the wall. We complained to the front desk worker, who again called the police. At 6am, the police and front desk worker came to the couple’s door, telling them to leave the hotel. Couple begged for an hour to pack and were granted this. Unfortunately, the couple was still there at 11am, since the hotel didn’t follow up on evicting them. We understand that the hotel cannot screen for terrible guests, but that it 1) allowed a horrific screaming fight to go on for four hours in the middle of the night is beyond unacceptable. The couple should have been told to leave much earlier. And 2) the hotel did nothing to follow up with us (and I’m assuming any of the other nearby guests who complained) regarding this terribly disruptive event. We barely slept the night before Christmas because of it. I frequently stay at hotels and am a Marriott Titanium member, and I have never had anything like this happen. Further, when I do stay at a hotel and the hotel makes a mistake or has a bad incident, they always follow up and make some kind of gesture of apology. I was rather appalled this hotel didn’t do this for either incident. Long story short, this is a nice hotel if nothing goes wrong. But if something does, do not expect good customer service. Doesn’t comply with COVID rules

Dec 25th, 2020

The rooms are nice, little outdated. Breakfast is a take out corner. No seating, but also no social distancing. The pool is overcrowded at certain moments, nobody cares. We left Photos on their website don’t match with real time... TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
