Sparkling Stay in Every Way

Oct 10th, 2020

This Lodge most definitely deserves it’s 4 Diamond rating - and beyond! All service touch points and associates we came into contact with including, but not limited to Adrianna at the Front Desk, were gracious, resourceful, and very responsive to any question or request we had. We stayed in the Main Lodge and were wow’d to say the least by the accommodations and decor. We would certainly return! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Our go to place

Oct 10th, 2020

This is our go to place when we visit which is about every two months. We’ve come to love this place and try not to stay anywhere else. Close enough to Glacier and downtown whitefish is amazing. Walking distance to some great local restaurant/brew. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Service was poor, but rooms were nice

Oct 8th, 2020

I expected more from this lodge especially during the pandemic. I certainly did not object to the lack of cleaning of the rooms, but nothing was done to make up for this fact. We stayed there three nights and it seemed like we had to ask for more shampoo or towels or coffee every day. No one from the hotel anticipated needs in this respect. For over $350 a night, a change in towels or a bottle of water would have been ok. And for instance the "convenience shop" was closed at 1pm(or earlier) every day. The vending machine did not work and we could not get a bottle of water without leaving the premises. We had a nice kitchen set up, but there was not so much as a spoon to use. It was useless. were they expecting us to bring plates and pans and glasses. Even paper plates or plastic utensils would have at least allowed us to use the facilities. The room itself was lake facing with a beautiful view ,was comfortably appointed and had a fireplace. We parked in a convenient underground garage though no one actually informed us about parking or frankly anything else at check in. If the property were more service oriented, this would have been a nice experience. IWhen I was at the vending machine that was not working a service person happened to be there. I inquired about whether any of the vending machines were working and he said "no" but this person went to a closet on the floor and pulled out a bottle and he gave it to me and said " they would want me to charge you, but here it is- not charge. Would that the front desk have this service orientation. I hope they improve, because it is in a great location. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Not ideal

Oct 4th, 2020

On the surface this lodge has the Western feel you would be expecting, but it's a bit worn. Room/bathroom: Our room was spacious with a small kitchen which included a fridge and a living area with two armchairs in front of the fireplace and TV. The bathroom was large with two sinks, a large soaker tub, a shower stall and a toilet. The lighting in the bathroom was fair, and the counter space was standard. Room comfort: The climate in the room was comfortable, and we never changed the thermostat or used the fireplace. The bed was comfortable with two pillows per person. There were plentiful towels, and we didn't need to request any additional for the two nights we stayed there. Food: The food we had here for breakfast and dinner was good. The service in the restaurant was a bit less than friendly and accommodating. They told me they couldn't make a pizza without cheese on it, and they were a bit brusque when we put our names on the list for a table.Overall the food and service was good, however. Location: The location was good for our purposes. It was a short walk to hiking trails and the downtown area. Hotel amenities: We did not use any hotel amenities except for the gift shop which had a good selection of item. Cleanliness: I saved this for last, because it is the reason for the low score I gave. The toilet was visibly dirty when we arrived. To their credit, the housekeeping manager came within minutes and disinfected it thoroughly. However my biggest concern was that the hotel was not leaving any time between guests in rooms since it has been operating at 100% nearly all summer, and the light switches were not visibly clean. Normally I wouldn't expect them to be, but given their high occupancy and inability to leave rooms sitting empty for 24 hours, I felt like they should have been doing extra cleaning to account for that. If you're concerned about Covid, this is not the hotel for you at this time. If you are less concerned about things being super clean, it's fine. I wouldn't stay here again, likely, but it was fine for this visit. The quality of the food, helped make up for some of the other deficits. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Montana retreat

Fantastic resort with great location and amenities. The lake on which the Lodge is beautiful and provides any water sport you would want. Make sure to get a lakeside room, it is well worth it. Very good restaurants and comfortable lounge. Visited Glacier National Park which was 45 minutes away. Our second time at the Lodge and most likely will not be our last. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
