It felt GREAT (and safe) to travel again.

The Logan was a beautiful place to stay with spacious and CLEAN rooms. The beds a very comfortable. The pillows are fluffy down like but we always bring our own, when we can, because we need more firm pillows. The check in process is easy and as "contact less" as possible. They provide a "welcome pack" with cups and bottled water because they are limiting ice machines. Ryan checked us in and was very helpful answering all of my silly questions and any requests we had. My son had a reservation also, for part of the stay. The woman working check-in earlier days was a bit less friendly but the rest of the entire staff (doormen, security, valet and the employees at the cafe/coffee shop) were all very friendly. They even accommodated my son's dog. They did have to move rooms in the middle of the night due to a chirping fire alarm at 2am. The parking is ridiculous and expensive in Philly but the exorbitant $59 for valet is worth the money. We were able to come and go as many times as we wanted. My son parked himself across the street and it was $51 overnight with no in and out privileges. This location is ideal and the Logan goes above and beyond... TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
The Logan went above and beyond for us!

We booked the Embassy Suites in Philadelphia a few months ago -- after our other trips were canceled due to Covid. It was supposed to open on Sept 1. We received an email 4 days before check-in that the hotel would not be opening and we needed to book elsewhere. We were worried that another vacation would be canceled. Our family of five needs a large room to accommodate our 2 teenagers and tween. We called Hilton who got in touch with Ashley Peguero, the front desk manager at the Logan. She upgraded our room at no extra charge! She also gave us breakfast vouchers for both days since breakfast was included with Embassy Suites. The room at the Logan was beautiful and very large--probably the best room we've ever had with Hilton! Ashley checked in with us numerous times and even gave us a map and a list of sight-seeing options. We were so impressed with their customer service. We will definitely be back! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Not what it was and hope it does stay this way

I went to the Logan for a stay. We were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary along with some friends who's wedding anniversary was the day after. I was very disappointed with what the hotel did to their services. I know it is the time of Covid-19, but there are somethings that should remain the same. In the advertisement of the hotel they never tell you that certain items have bee removed from the room. They removed the coffee maker, the ice bucket. They limited the access to the rooftop lounge, but never tell you that when you check in. There was a sign that said hotel guest only, but they were letting people in on the side of the hotel which took up what should have been for the hotel guest. Ice machine not working on every floor. More so the other couple who was there for 2 days were told only the morning after they were not cleaning room, changing sheets or towels no room service until after 3pm. They had called a head to make sure all things were in place and was told they were. Both couples have stayed there before and were looking for a great time for the celebration. I can understand about the the physical distancing, but when someone comes to a hotel like the Logan, they are expecting4 star service, especially when you pay what was paid by both couples. You shouldn't have to call the front desk for things that are standard and when you do it gets dropped at the door. They also gave the other couples Balcony suite away after they requested it. Wonderful staff, hotel needs work

The most positive aspect of this hotel is the team that works there. Monique, Keyanna and Connie have that "spark" that I thought exited the industry long ago. Just a genuine and authentic group of people. They would be the only reason I return. I understand there are a ton of COVID guidelines in place, so the 3 star rating is not a reflection of certain services that were scaled back/limited. Although I do believe the rooftop bar could have been opened past 9:30PM on a Saturday, all hotels are doing this, and it is no fault of the management team. However, the room we stayed in was not up to the cleanliness standards that I would have expected in a "new normal" world. Hair stuck to the remote controls, splatter on the walls, cigarette butts on the balcony, a used contact lense on the bathroom counter. Aside from the cleanliness issues, wallpaper peeling off in the bathroom, grout needs to be redone, bidet had some stains on it. It seems like this hotel had a pretty half assed renovation at some point. My recommendation to the property ownership: hire back more of your housekeeping team/management to get this property up to par. Now is not the time to cut corners with things like this. Called to request ice and it took over an hour for the houseman to deliver, at which point someone from the front desk already retrieved it for me..I forgot his name (Paul rings a bell?) - was very apologetic and professional. Much of the staff just seems very overwhelmed and it seems like they need more help. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Good Property - Excellent Staff - Expensive
Aug 14th, 2020
Important note to start: I stayed in this property during August 2020/Covid Restrictions - so many of the normal property amenities were not available (bar, etc). Check In/Parking/Staff: I used the Hilton app to check in, and after getting settled did check in with the front desk to grab some waters and breakfast coupons (HH Diamond). The young woman (I know, I should have gotten her name) was extremely bright and pleasant. The hotel is extremely quiet with low occupancy and no one in the lobby, but her energy was engaging and professional and made up for the silent feel. The same can be said for the valet parking folks. I used the AAA/Park rate (hotel parking is obscene at $60 a night, which is significantly higher than the Doubletree or Hilton Penns Landing, but about the same as the Embassy across the street). An easy way around the cost is to park yourself at any of the nearby lots/garages and save $20+ a night. The valet attendants over the top nice which was a great way to start a stay-cation. Room: I booked a one-bedroom balcony suite. I did not receive an upgrade, although I am not sure there is another room type with a balcony, so perhaps one is not available. The room was large enough to feel "special", the bathroom is enormous and the view/balcony is awesome (looking down the parkway towards the art museum). The same view can be had at the Embassy for $200+ less per night with a significantly larger room, but the Embassy is currently closed. My room was spotless with clearly evident care shown in demonstrating the cleanliness of high touch points. Breakfast was offered at the small coffee shop in the lobby. I used my coupon for a cold brew and did not get anything to eat. Frankly this is all I ever want, so it was perfect for me, but a more hearty breakfast eater should be making the walk to the Reading Terminal Market anyway! The barista was excellent...huge smile and friendly disposition. Again, a reason to feel good about the price of the room. Overall, the Logan is great. I would stay there again for the right price.
