Overly impressed, once again.

Jan 22nd, 2020

I've lost count of the times I've stayed at The Ludlow. This trip was the first time I'd brought my Husband with me, and I wanted him to stay at my favourite hotels, to get an understanding of why I find my time in New York just so lovely. And The Ludlow didn't disappoint. I wasn't sure if he would be a fan of the overly detailed styling (being that he's a minimalist at heart) but he was obsessed with it. He was so impressed and loved everything about it. I don't think I've ever had a bad word to say about any of my stays at The Ludlow. (I've got past reviews on here too). It's the most wonderful space to come back to at night. I particularly enjoy staying here in Winter when the fire is lit in the front bar and the hotel has a beautiful cozy feel to it. Ludlow Coffee Supply right next door has awesome coffee too! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Beautiful Hotel With A Few Drawbacks

Dec 30th, 2019

I had business in the LES, and decided to give The Ludlow a try. I had noticed the hotel a few months ago while dining at their terrific restaurant, Dirty French. This hotel is in a great location, surrounded by restaurants and bars. The hotel is really beautiful - as long as you like historic buildings. The lobby is lovely, and I especially liked the lobby bar, with big comfy couches and excellent atmosphere. I had a small suite - with small being the key word. It had a tiny living room that was not really big enough to use, but a good place to store my luggage. The bed was quite comfy, but the bedroom was tight to move around. It is an old building, and has old building issues, including weird electrical that is hard to use, and a lot of street noise. I ended up plugging in my devices all over the room, because there is not a good central charging place. At one point the bathroom door wedged shut, and it took a lot of effort to get it open. It has an well-done old fashioned bathroom, and there was plenty of hot water, and good toiletries. There is a mini-bar and Nespresso maker in the room. Service was very good. I stayed two nights, and enjoyed my visit. If you like older hotels, and are willing to deal with the normal issues they present, this is a great choice. The Ludlow also has a very sexy vibe - and if lack of space is not an issue - would be a good choice for couples. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Love It!!

Dec 28th, 2019

Have stayed here several times and have never been disappointed. The place is beautiful. ALL of the staff go out of their way to be helpful and accomodating. I stayed in 3 different rooms on this trip. Even with its tiny size, the Mini is my favorite. The decor is as comfortable as it is attractive. Mid way through stay my husband arrived and we moved to a larger room. It too was perfect. The bathroom is spacious. Excellent panoramic views. Room service was prompt. The Ludlow is one of my favorite hotels anywhere. Wish I could move in! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

When can we go back...!?

Dec 22nd, 2019

Such a great place to stay in the East Side, and we would certainly go back given the chance! Superb service from start to finish, yes you pay for it but hey that’s life. We were fortunate to have a terrace room which was certainly worth the extra, although the room was small it was well laid out and really did not need to be bigger. The staff were helpful and offered some great dining recommendations close by. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Beautiful hotel, rather small rooms

Dec 20th, 2019

It's been my second stay at the Ludlow hotel as I absolutely prefer the Lower East Side over midtown or uptown. My stay was good, however, the room was extremely small. I had a terrace, but almost no space to store my suitcase which was a bit of a tricky tetris game every time I had to get stuff I had no place to store in my tiny closet. Breakfast has really improved since my last visit, the avocado toast was excellent! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
