Amazing Stay

This hotel has everything you can wish for and more. Our stay was memorable and we are happy we had friendly stuff to accommodate every single need, delicious breakfast that is rare in the US and a comfortable bed. This experience is worth more than what you pay for. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Birthday get away after. Dinner & play downtown.

The Mansion has so many amenities, the staff so accommodating, worth EVERY penny for a well deserved treat in Buffalo, NY. The location is perfect when attending Shea’s or Convention Center events. Their car service is especially nice to many area restaurants . TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Staff: Above and beyond at every turn. Food/Drink: Food is fantastic, diverse, and healthy. The breakfast is absolutely unlike any other I have ever had - and it is INCLUDED with your stay! Shuttle service: The best vehicles (Range Rovers) can be used at your discretion, as much as you like. Effectively, you own the Buffalo downtown area, as can get around as if you have residence full-time at The Mansion. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Beautiful place and great staff

We did an Anniversary stay-cation for a weekend here. The mansion is just beautiful. The entire staff, all of them, were so incredibly friendly and helpful. The free "Rover" service took us to a museum, picked us up, and took us to lunch. It was so nice. The fireplaces and pool table, bar area, etc. are just lovely. Nice spread for free breakfast. If I had one complaint, it would be the temperature of the room. The programmed thermostat kept going down and the room got quite chilly. I recognize it is a very old building (and old/cold windows) but we kept having to put the thermo up again, even in the middle of the night. Mansion is walking distance to several eateries. Overall, a lovely stay. We even got chocolate covered strawberries for our Anniversary!! What's not to love?! We'd go back again :) TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Disappointed .... Again

My partner and I recently stayed at this hotel for our second time and were disappointed for a second time. I wrote an email to the management expressing my concern back on December 28 and, like the service and product of the property, it is evident that they don’t care as I have not yet heard a response. My below email to the management team pretty much sums up my stay. ‘Dear Madam/Sir, I am writing in regards to a recent stay I had with you and my second time being disappointed. My partner and I planned a last minute trip to Buffalo to meet up with friends over the Holiday Season. We stayed with you before in one of your entry level rooms and were not happy with the accommodation (tired appearance and not clean). Subsequently we stayed at The Hotel Henry (in the top suite) and were also not happy (i.e. an empty cork was found, the bathroom was not properly cleaned and used underwear were found by the bench; I wrote a review on TripAdvisor earlier that year). When we were booking our stay for December 26, we thought we would give The Mansion on Delaware a second chance since we were dining at Tempo, which is very close to your hotel. We booked a suite, this time in hopes that the accommodation would be better. To our disappointment, the suite was just as bad entry level room we had stayed in. Once in the room, we were amazed at how poorly decorated and maintained the product was; stains on the bathroom tiles, the carpet was bubbling in several places, the duvet on the bed was so old it had no feathers left, the sofa in the living room was worn and in need of replacing, the closet doors did not open without using force, there were not a sufficient amount of coat hangers, the shower was weak (more like a mist), the room was hot and a number of scuff marks and scratches on the walls - demonstrating a lack of concern/care from the housekeeping department. I felt as though I was staying in a Howard Johnson’s opposed to the luxury boutique hotel you boast to be on your website. In addition, none of the pictures on your website resembled the accommodation that we received. I spoke with the reception desk and was told that there were no other suites available that evening. I also called them a second time to request a new duvet, since the one that adorned the bed was without feathers. On my return to the room later that evening, it looked as though the duvet had been changed, but it was not made up (it was not tucked in and was left in a sloppy state). However to my surprise, the duvet had not been changed, as the featherless duvet remained on the bed. When I called to ask what happened, the reception employee stated that they had no other duvets, with feathers, available in the hotel. Although the reception employee came to the room to confirm this and offered to show me another room (not a suite), I was not happy with the alternative. After staying at the Mansion on Delaware and the Hotel Henry, I feel the lack of attention to detail, as well as the overall lack of concern exhibited by your staff is quite obvious. You have two properties that are quite unique and interesting but the evident lack of care is your downfall. From my experience, The Curtiss is the place to stay while in Buffalo, as I have been disappointed with your properties too many times. Disappointed and annoyed’ TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
