NJW trip to NYC

This was my 2nd time at the Michelangelo. The service is good and the rooms large and excellent. The price is excellent also. The location is great and walking distance to the Broadway shows and great restaurants and shopping. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I visited The Michelangelo with friends and absolutely loved it! Great service, staff courteous and attentive. The food to die for! We tried the prosciutto salad with shaved Parmesan, pickled mustard seeds and poached pears!, we tried the Gnocchi, veal and prosciutto meatballs and their signature Italian pizza! I highly recommend this NYC gem! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The Italian Club Sandwich and the Burger are divine. So yummy. You have to taste it when you are staying at this beautiful hotel. AND don't forget to order the Bonbolini's for dessert. Little tiny donuts filled with lemon custard. Soooooo good. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Quiet, Safe, Beautiful, Close to everything.

Apr 19th, 2019

We just returned from our mini-vacation to NYC. We had minimal interaction with the staff other than Asha, who checked us in. She was wonderful and very helpful. There were 4 of us (my spouse and 2 kids with me). This location seems to be the perfect distance to Broadway, Times Square, Rockefeller Square and the MoMA. Everything was just a couple blocks away. The lobby and the hotel in general are beautiful and ornate. It reminds me of what a grand, old world hotel should look like. Warm and elaborate, not sleek and modern. We booked a room with 2 king sized beds. The room was very spacious with a clean, 2 section bathroom. There was also a sizable walk-in closet. Slippers and robes were available in the closet. Our room looked over 7th Ave. The view was excellent. They have added an extra layer of windows that do a remarkably good job of keeping out the street noise. There were 3 windows, so there was no lack of natural lighting. The only negative (as so many others have pointed out) is the residence charge. It is nice to get some of it back through a $10 drink credit each day. If we are coming back to this part of the city again, we will certainly be staying there again. Definitely recommended.
