Great old-time hotel with a great staff !

Mar 30th, 2020

It's a great location close to the port but still close to the action. The staff at this old-time themed hotel was simply wonderful! They were so helpful to us during our ordeal at the beginning of the COVID-19 ordeal. Our cruise was canceled so they were so helpful getting us a room for multiple more days and understood when we left early. Katherine at the front desk was really helpful giving us hints and setting up tours for us. Ray the valet was so friendly to us and greeted us every day and asked if we needed anything. He suggested the Conchon Butcher restaurant which was great. He really cared about our stay. The bar and restaurant looked really nice but ended up being closed when the city started shutting down. This is where we will stay when we go back to finish our vacation ! Thanks to all of them ! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Comfortable and Affordable

Mar 17th, 2020

This was a last minute decision, and we are so happy there was availability. The whole place is a great mix of exposed brick and modern updates so it feels comfortable and not over the top. The rooms are simple and comfortable. The beds and pillows are so comfortable. The coffee shop is fantastic. The staff is friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great hotel in a perfect location

Mar 16th, 2020

We loved our (too short) stay at this hotel. As it was during the coronavirus outbreak, we were told at check-in that room cleaning was going to be minimized for everyone's safety. Personally, I think this was a smart move and didn't have any problems with it. They also offered a $5 daily credit at the mini bar in return, which was nice and completely unnecessary, given that this was a matter of safety. Hotel staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. We were upgraded from a standard queen to a deluxe king room for free. The room was very nice- warehouse-style decor, very clean and well air conditioned. Location is unbeatable for everything fun in New Orleans. The walls are thin so it can get a bit noisy when other guests are loud or there are parties outside, but I suspect that's common for any NOLA hotel. My only regret with this place is that we had to shorten our trip because of the coronavirus outbreak. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to New Orleans. I can't recommend this place enough. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

So charming!!

Mar 16th, 2020

We absolutely loved The Old No. 77! It is in a great location. It’s not in the middle of the French Quarter, so it is nice and quiet, but close enough to enjoy all that it has to offer. It was about a ten minute walk. The hotel was so charming and all the employees were so nice. We would stay here again for sure! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Amazing location and beautiful hotel!

Mar 13th, 2020

My brother and I stayed here for a night in New Orleans while driving around the country. The hotel is extremely unique and has some great history! It also has an insanely great location for walking. Any direction you look, there are bars, restaurants, and shopping. Right across the street at Mother’s you can get some of the best jambalaya and gumbo in the city. Then walk 10 minutes down into the French Quarter for some exploring and likely late night beignets at Cafe Du Monde TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
