Under construction and mixed service.

Aug 20th, 2019

We booked with a third party site for a good deal so i can't really complain, but i wish we would have been warned that the entire lobby was under construction. Because of this, there is only one person sitting at a makeshift desk to check you in. Good luck if there is anyone in front of you. Our first day the front desk was amazing, then a "night shift" guy (7am) was absolutely terrible and rude when i asked about an ice bucket, the rest of the workers we're preoccupied or just plain slow. Moral of the story: if you can score a good deal go for it, but definitely don't pay full price for construction and "smoke free" rooms. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Terrible customer service.

Aug 13th, 2019

In NO a lot of people in customer service have attitude. Same here: checking in, taking forever, no communication. Front desk woman said they are remodeled, but room was old. The lobby is a joke, unfinished walls, holes in the wall from some pipes, tiny elevator. No pool. here was some issues and manager never follow up, any questioning at the lobby was answered with monotone voices and rolling eyes sometimes. The last night we went out, left sunglasses in the room, no need to use them at night, next morning-gone, discovered while packing and leaving the room. WTF. Plus, room was quiet. TIP book room in La Quinta right next door, at least you know what you are getting. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Terrible accommodations

Aug 4th, 2019

I booked our stay through Priceline. The pictures did not match the actual hotel. The hotel is under renovation. I wish I knew this before booking. I felt I was staying in a hole in the wall. Run. Don’t look back. Don’t book. On a positive side the Hotel staff was really nice and accommodating. Location was convenient and close to Canal St. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

RIP off

Jul 27th, 2019

I booked a nonrefundable room in New Orleans at the Royal Crescent Hotel. When I booked in they gave me a room with a nonworking a/c, and the bathroom sink was broke and flooding the bathroom floor. They place us in another room that was a conjoined room with another room. Problem was this conjoined room had a single door between the two rooms and when its occupants entered for their stay the 3 individuals talking in the conjoined room sounded like they were right next to me in my room having a conversation. Hotel was made aware of the issue and says all rooms were booked and they cant accommodate me. I ask for a refund but conveniently the manager isnt there and wont be in until the am. I left and went to another city to book a room for the night. My loss was over $100 for the room I never stayed in, the manager the next day refused to refund my stay. Yes I booked a nonrefundable however they should have policies in place to protect the consumer when their hotel is not able to accommodate the original booking. Hotel is run down in the middle of construction, unprofessional staff, moldy rooms, would not recommend staying here. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Awesome Hotel

Jul 22nd, 2019

This is an awesome hotel in the Quarters. You can exit onto Canal or Bourbon St. Room was spacious and clean. The hotel is very modern looking. The restaurant has a variety on food, steaks, seafood, classics, and breakfast. The cost per night was very very reasonable even during special events. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
