Holiday

Feb 20th, 2020

What an hotel, this is how a hotel should be ran from first arrival to leaving. Arrived feeling tired after a long drive to be allocated a room upgrade. The room was fantastic and appreciated immaculately clean. Reception staff first class. Breakfast was superb, unfortunately we were leaving early on our second night stay, too early for breakfast but the reception arranged for a very good pack up to take with us. Excellent happy hour with live music and bar staff with a smile on their face. Well done and your efforts were very much appreciated. Would definitely recommend TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great location

Great location and warm welcome upon arrival. Swimming pool and gym facilities very good. Stylish period ground floor. Poor room housekeeping let the side down, a pillow badly stained visible through the pillow case - why would you not change it? Bathroom not cleaned properly. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Perfect central location to get any place.

Feb 13th, 2020

For us, the Playford was the perfect location to get any place we wanted in Adelaide. We were able to walk to the gaol, hop on the tram to take us to the botanical garden, and walk to the Rundle Mall. Every encounter with the front desk was quick and plesant. In the basement was a well equiped work out room , a small indoor pool , hot tub and sauna. A Hertz rent a car was right around the corner, so when we needed to rent a car to leave town, it was just a block away. The nightly liquid chocolate treat in cups in the lobby did not do my blood sugar very well, it was such a tasty treat to come back too . Also, while we did not take advantage of it, Union Station is right across the street also. Best place we stayed in for our 3 week trip to Australia. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Amazing hotel, exceptional staff

Feb 5th, 2020

We stayed at The Playford for two nights and wish now we had extended our trip! The room was so beautiful, elegant and clean. All service provided from check in to check out was fantastic, professional, polite and helpful. To the gentleman who checked us out and helpfully offered recommendations about the zoo, thank you so much. Letting us leave our car in the car park after checkout is a perfect example of the “above and beyond” service we received. Our room service dinner was excellent. A special shoutout to the gentleman who bartended in the bar below. He made us such fantastic cocktails and was the epitome of a hospitality professional. I didn’t catch his name but wish I could so I could give him a proper mention. We are staying at The intercontinental across the road tonight, and only wish we had cancelled that booking and stayed at the Playford for a night longer. We actually have come back to have a few drinks at the Playford tonight specifically because both the service and the quality far outdoes the intercontinental. An amazing job, thank you so very much. wonderful stay at an inexpensive five star hotel

Feb 1st, 2020

We spent 3 nights at the Playford during our stay in Adelaide and would come back any time. The service is extremely friendly (Shoutout to the hotel's reception), our little suite was very spacious (though ugly views - but you can't have it all..), other guests were friendly and the loccation right in the city center perfect. the price was not cheap but good value to money ratio for a five star hotel. the pool is a little small and only has very few chairs, but you would not want to spend too much time there anyways.
