5 STARS for Jerry at Front Desk!!!! Well dressed, professional, courteous, knowledgeable, pleasant, helpful, and witty...just to name a few things of how AWESOME Jerry presented himself upon our Check-In!! Being the first face you see upon Check-In, you want that someone to be all of the above to ensure your stay is as pleasant as possible! He presented a very refreshing experience in customer service! We appreciate you Jerry!!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Amazing!

Feb 26th, 2020

The hotel staff was so sweet and accommodating. Really a remarkable experience. The hotel is nicely appointed, the attached restaurants are excellent, and no matter what we needed, the hotel found it and brought it to us! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Mardi Gras 2020 at the Pontchartrain

Feb 26th, 2020

Stayed at the Pontchartrain for Fat Tuesday. Couldn’t have had a better time. Room was wonderful overlooking St Charles parade route. Staff was wonderful and so fun. Ate at Bayou Bar. Had white beans, rice and duck wings. All was awesome. This is the second time we stayed there and both times we had a wonderful time. This is our NOLA to go to place. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A gem of the garden district

Feb 20th, 2020

Trent and Brittany, the front desk managers, made our stay a bliss! So attentive and so caring they were, listening to all our needs. They kept giving us hot water for our tea, as this hotel doesn't have a kettle or a coffee maker that we are used to, and offered us a different room when we complained about the dusty curtains. Location of the hotel is in the Garden District which is marvellous and you can walk it up and down, with all its restaurants and shops. Very tranquil area, although you can see the street car rattling from some rooms. The journey to the centre of the city by the street car takes about 30 minutes and is charming, although at times the street car is crowded and can be unpredictable (you can take an uber for just about $10). We were offered a very good breakfast in the Whistle cafe, love their endless coffee! You can enjoy the decor as well, the lobby and the bar of the hotel are sweetly decorated, plush chairs and all. The rooms are styled as if it was a hundred years ago, very curious. A bulky desk and rubber bathroom floor is not my cup of tea, same as old lamps, but the bed was very comfortable, with nice linen. The robes as well were very nice. If you can, book a bigger room. The standard room is very small, half of the desk is taken by a tray with snacks and drinks (you have to pay even for the water), and there was no wardrobe to put your clothes, just a place behind the curtain with the hangers so low, if you have a longer skirt or dress, it would be on the floor). The view from the higher floors allows you see the city if you are on the right side of the building, or an industrial building and a parking lot, if you are on the other side, the windows, unfortunately, are not cleaned and can't be opened so there's no fresh air. I had difficulties breathing inside, even in a larger room, although it was much nicer than the standard. Overall, it was an interesting experience, and we loved it thanks to the perfect staff, Trent had ideas for any question we had, be it where to eat or what to see – he knew literally every square yard of the area! And very committed and loyal, very proud of being a part of the hotel – I think he is a real asset! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
