Located on the most beautiful beach on island, attentive staff, very nice room design

Jan 21st, 2020

I spent my vacation in this hotel for 3 nights. When we arrived, we were not quite impressed with a staff at checkin and a minor incident. I was a bit upset because I have been waiting for this trip for so long and expected things to be smooth. The next day, Dhewa, General Manager personally apologized to us about the incident and offered to upgrade the room to us. We didn’t expect this, however we were thankful about their offer. We were very happy with the new room as it had a better location and amenities. We also got a discount on international buffet. Generally, staff were friendly and made us feel welcomed to stay here. My husband was very happy and totally forgot the experience on the first day. He told me that he wanted to come back again. We were amazed by the way they turned around the experience to be positive for us. They paid attention to details in every touch point to create the difference. I’d like to thank Dhewa and the staff for making this trip more memorable for us. Regarding restaurants, as Thais we didn’t expect to get authentic taste from hotel’s restaurants. However, the Sunset Beach Restaurant was quite good in my opinion, I recommended Pad-Thai-Goong and Kra-Prao. I also enjoyed all desserts at the buffet line. As for the beach, it was so beautiful and the water was so crystal clear just like Maldives. We were not surprised that the beach in front of the hotel was packed with tourists as the staff informed us before the arrival. My suggestion was to explore other beaches during peak hour and came back to enjoy beach in front of hotel when tourists left (8-10/16-18) This way you can enjoy all the beaches on the islands. In addition, I enjoyed all activities like kayak, snorkeling, paddle board so much, the staff was very helpful in guiding us. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Amazing hotel with very frendly staff

Jan 15th, 2020

We spent 6 nights at this beautiful island in The Racha resort. We had a really nice time there. We enjoyed yoga class with Sonja- girl from Germany. She is fantastic teacher. we had yoga Class on the beach at the morning. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is tasty, especially crabs, tiger prawns and thai food. The view from the pool is amazing. If you are not satisfate with anything, you just ask staff and they will help you. We will come back for sure. Prices are not more exspensive as in the another resorts. Especially mini bar in the room. You have good wine also gin whisky, cognac for a acceptibility price. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

An Amazing Birthday Celebration!

Jan 8th, 2020

We celebrated an amazing series of famiy birthdays in the Racha! We stayed in the stunning lighthouse and we will definitely return every year! The service, ambience and every minute detail was wonderfully attended to. We came in as visitors but left as friends. As my father in law from Scotland said "Im taking a piece of the Racha with me!" Thank you Devan Bhaskaran (you're an amazing person) and the Racha team! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellent location but hard work needed

Jan 6th, 2020

The location is perfect: lovely beach, landscaped village and nice staff. However, the management should not sit on its laurels and pursue improvements in every area, starting with the virtual monopoly of restaurants which brings appaling service in the more basic two and high prices in the classy one. Staff should also wake up to the fact that they MUST speak better English. Kids should be given activities to do that take them away from people who just want to relax. Beach is public, but no one days staff cannot help cleaning it every morning. Investments are needed in technology: wifi worked poorly and A/C is old and so noisy! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
