I get it we’re in the middle of a pandemic....BUT although the room price has not gone down the amenities have. 2 restaurants closed, I get it! Spa closed, I get it! No housekeeping until 3rd day of stay, I get it! Room service dinner delivered in plastic containers, I get it! No breakfast besides room service available until 8AM, I don’t get it! Room service had almost an hour delivery time for a bagel and coffee at 7:30. Maybe this would let management know their guest are hungry BEFORE 8am. There is a mask rule in all public indoor areas there is not one at the pool or outdoor restaurants. How can a guest be allowed to vape and blow smoke in the direction of other guests after finishing his meal and not one employee asked him not to? The grounds are lovely. The rooms are large. the service is 5star. The amenity bags are pretty. The prices are high. I get it! But come on....8am for food or coffee besides room service? No spa, no housekeeping, I get it! Almost $900/ night for a room and no adjustment in room prices? I DON’T GET IT! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
A true resort experience.

Venetian marble and Italian Cyprus trees welcome you into the resort. Long, quiet roads wrap through the 500 acres and provide amazing vistas of Newport Beach’s coastline. The Colosseum pool alongside it’s restaurant is the most popular spot on the resort and provides a lively scene to socialize. Escaping back into your room, whether it be a bungalow or villa, is like finding a private oasis: upscale bathroom with full-size tub, quality robe and slippers, lush bedding, and sliding doors to a shaded terrace. This glimpse into the glamour of Southern California will not soon be forgotten. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Great family weekend trip!

We had a great time, and rented in the North villas. Plenty of room to stretch and relax. Note: if you stay in the North Villas, stay on the third floor for a view. We were on the second floor with no view. The staff was very friendly and attentive. In the pool area, they need some work on their speed. It took forever to get food and beverages. However, I would allow for Covid-19, since the staffing was probably yet to get up to par. We did have dinner there only one night, and with a limited menu, they did an excellent job. The service people really kept us laughing. The only real minus that I would give them, was the furniture was very warn and needs updating. Our golfing experience was top notch, except for some slow players in front of us. We would recommend the resort, but very busy on the weekend. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I wanted to end our summer vacation with a relaxing beachfront stay in a luxury setting. This was just it. Location is unbeatable, the beach and ocean are beautiful, probably the prettiest of all California, not counting that you can actually swim as the water temperature is acceptable. You do pay the price but get it all. We stayed two nights and enjoyed the amenities without taking our car once. The beach service was impeccable. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

we live less than an hour away but like many people needed a vacation. with COVID still a real concern, it was important to go somewhere that we could feel like we were still safe. After looking at various places The Villas at the Resort at Pelican Hill seemed to fulfill everything we needed. The Peace of Mind implementations worked well - hand sanitizer everywhere, extra masks, masks and hand sanitizer on arrival, and all remotes were prepackaged you reassure they had been cleaned. we still had lysol wiped just in case. We mostly did our own cooking, almost packed our whole house but still used some of the supplied materials (all cuisinart and pretty clean). The Wolf oven/range was awesome. Danielle was amazing in helping me coordinate some groceries and getting some flowers and balloons delivered for our arrival. The delivery from bristol farms is not that bad not too much extra cost - considering how painful it is to load up the car with groceries, it was soooo nice to have it pre stocked. would definitely do it again next time. the rooms are way bigger than i expected, the bathrooms immaculate, and the air conditioning was sooooooo good (esp when it’s 100 deg plus at home!!) the villa pool was not crowded at all before 1130. we were the only ones there! everyone i interacted with was so nice and helpful, from getting some extra bags of ice, room service, check in and check out - everyone was awesome. some notes: - i forgot to bring doggie bags but they have some and a dog waste down the street. - we brought our apple tv but needed some help with trying to hook it up. - there’s a dvd player in the rooms - we didn’t have trash bags - i didn’t ask for any but we picked some up at the supermarket. - it’s a bit of a walk down to the beach but definitely doable and a little bit of a walk to shake shack and the hiking trails of crystal cove state park (they have some pretty strep inclines!) - we also did a round of golf on the south course, some amazing views towards the later holes. looking forward to coming back some day hopefully when the spa can reopen and the restaurants!!! thank you again danielle and company for an amazing stay!!!!!!!
