Very much a pleasant experience. Old and young alike enjoyed the park. All the employees were very friendly and helpful (from the operator that helped us with our online reservation to the check in and the park staff. Bottom line, very friendly staff. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Hubby surprised me with a weekend getaway while our folks sat with the kids back at the RV park. Highly recommend this place. Covid precautions are practiced and taken seriously here. Five stars. Great staff. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Treehaus is great!

We love Schlitterbahn! Our family of 7 stayed in the 3 bedroom treehouse (705). Pros: It is decorated so neat--like a treehouse inside too-- and so convenient to be in the surfenburg park. Loved how you get passes for all the days of your stay. Would absolutely recommend 2 night stay so you have the benefit of using the room during the day for lunch, rest, etc. Check in is at 4 and check out is at 11. It has a kitchen with pans, etc so you can cook. It was great to be here even during covid. As far as park goes, lines weren't too bad because of the covid occupancy limits. It was nice to be mask-free and feel free and normal in the majority of the park! Cons: Sadly only the 2 newer parks are open this year. Covid policies made it not as great as previous years. The Falls is our favorite and it is dry and totally closed as was the chute into lazy river. So sad. Lots of closed off entrances into pools, wave pools, etc to control traffic flow which is not good (but understandable with covid). Our treehouse didn't have enough cups, plates, bowls for our group. They should have enough in there for full occupancy of 12. There were 4- 6 of each of dining items. And no coffee pot or coffee cups! (Covid rule that makes no sense since there were allowed pans, plates, ice maker in frig.) The resort office wouldn't even give us cups even though a resort phone agent said they would. Also, the room card said check out was 12 but it was in fact 11. Bottom line: We'd stay again but were a little disappointed due to the issues we had given the premium price we paid. We look forward to coming again next year with every open and operational! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Different than the normal hotel setting! But enjoyable! Pros: homelike feeling,deer,all-inclusive park passes, movie every night, ease of access to parks, free bus rides to park Cons: no full body mirrors in rooms(it's a girl thing), disrespectful neighbors she thought my sister was the maid😏 TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Great get away

We had a blast at Schlitterbahn Water Park & Resort. We’ve been coming here for 30 years so we are regulars. This year was a little different as the original part of the park wasn’t open nor were The Falls so while I was disappointed; I don’t hold Schlitterbahn responsible, more like COVID 19. I was just happy they were open. From what I understand they didn’t have the staff and they are trying to make improvements to the original park so having said that it was still a lot of fun! The lines were short, they were social distancing & they were disinfecting the tubes regularly. Our room was in need of a renovation, although beds were super comfy. My sisters room had been renovated and looked really nice: granite countertops, new backsplash definitely could tell it had been upgraded. Overall a much needed break. We’ll be back!
