Plenty of on-site activities and amenities
Daily resort fee
Flanking the western edge of Mount Hood National Forest in northern Oregon, about 45 miles east of Portland, The Resort at the Mountain earns praise for its picturesque natural backdrop and its quiet atmosphere. The property boasts numerous opportunities to venture outdoors, including a 27-hole golf course, four tennis courts, volleyball and badminton areas and an outdoor pool. But many guests were content simply admiring the view from the private patios and balconies attached to the guest rooms. Accommodations also feature Simmons Beautyrest beds, rainfall showers and docking stations compatible with both Apple devices and MP3 players. Guests describe the rooms as understated and, despite a few customer service snafus, visitors report pleasant stays. The on-site spa is a big selling point, offering a long list of massages and skin treatments. And after a long day, you can refuel at one of two in-house restaurants.
