Banging starts at 8ish in the morning and goes until 6pm.

When booking, we should have been informed we would not want to be in our room from 8am to 6pm because construction starts before 9am which is what they tell you when you call the front desk after being woken up each day with very loud noise. Renovation is stated. What they don’t tell you is it’s constant noise all day including JACKHAMMERS. Service was great aside from no one holds the front door open. Website shows all employees wear gloves. This is not true. The valets do not wear gloves yet are in your car and handling your luggage. It’s valet only so there is option but to allow a valet to drive your car in a pandemic without gloves. So we had to disinfect our car each time. Saw zero regular cleaning per the covid video on their website but the common areas looked and smelled clean. Salt is amazing make a reservation. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Best staycation trip ever

I cannot say enough about the amazing staff and property! Our little family of three felt like we were the most important guests during our stay! The way the team from the manager, front desk, activities, servers went above and beyond constantly was like something we haven’t seen in so long. We’ve stayed at many other Ritzs around the world from NYC, Aruba, Naples, Half Moon Bay to name a few and NONE of the staff has been as fantastic as Mr. Cooks team! Especially Christine, Neely, Nora and a big thank you to Nicole Cobb as well! They all went way out of their way to help us give our daughter a special covid friendly Halloween and we cannot wait to go back and visit soon! The room was spotless, the room service staff was amazing as well! I wish I could name everyone 😂 Seriously everyone we encountered was polite professional and made our trip so enjoyable. It’s fine.

We first stayed at this hotel in March 2020 (pre-COVID) and experienced several hiccups but figured we would give the hotel the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately when staying again around New Years we realized that while the building itself is beautiful, the service leaves much to be desired. There is zero mask/social distancing enforcement so if you aren’t worried about COVID, this is the place for you! When we checked in we were told restaurants were open that were not. All of the boutiques except the general sundries store are closed. Also construction started at 6:30am some mornings. We stayed in one of the renovated rooms and while it was decorated nicely, the walls are paper thin. Stay here on Bonvoy points but beware paying too much on a nightly basis. There was a world of difference between this experience and the one we had at the Four Seasons in Orlando. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Birthday Getaway

We were welcomed by Deandra. She was very informative, friendly, and helpful in every way. She gave us the highest floor and renovated room which was amazing! We enjoyed the heated swimming pools as well as the bike service. Thank you so much for making my birthday memorable! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Longer stay

We returned for a longer stay and had a lovely time. We had 2 connecting rooms that were recently renovated and were beautiful. The renovations are behind schedule because of Covid; we only heard noise one morning and that was after 10 am so was not a problem. There are some changes in restaurant times and the spa is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays currently because of Covid. Make sure to check availability before your visit. We had a wonderful experience at the spa and very good room service. The food always came earlier than predicted and we were pleasantly surprised that room service is back to being delivered with dishes/glassware rather than paper bags (used previously during the pandemic) and paper cups. All of the staff were friendly and nice. They went above and beyond to be helpful. We felt very safe at the Ritz during the pandemic. We dined outside at Coast one evening. Guests were spaced far apart. The dinner was delicious, especially the prime tenderloin medallions. Service was excellent. It was a wonderful getaway and we look forward to our next visit to the RC on Amelia Island! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
