Lovely mountain getaway

We enjoyed our trip to Bachelor Gulch. The employees with whom we interacted were professional and friendly. Our room was generally very nice; although, our view was somewhat lacking and there was no upgrade available despite status. The bedding was extremely comfortable and we enjoyed a good night's sleep. We only had breakfast on the property and had dinner elsewhere (Mirabelle - which was lovely). Breakfast was very good, as was the service. The only issue was that we felt that the common areas were simply too crowded for us to feel safe during the pandemic. We noted this in the pool area and also, around the bar/great room in the evening. Other than those issues, which are more customer judgment based, we felt that all protocols were being followed to keep guests safe. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Not my typical Ritz Carlton experience, save your money and stay somewhere else.

The service and experience was not at all what I am used to receiving at a Ritz Carlton property. I have visited many Ritz Carlton properties, including this one, over the years. Perhaps the decrease in attention to detail and lack of customer service is due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I'm not sure. I feel like I wasted my money and I hate that feeling when I splurge on a fancy hotel. The staffing ratio seemed extremely low. Not nearly enough staff members to help guests. Long wait times for restaurant(s) seating. Long wait times even when the restaurant(s) weren't busy and it wasn't due to limited seating because of social distancing. Overall it just didn't seem like there were enough staff members on site. We waited nearly 40 minutes for our breakfast to arrive at the table once we were able to actually put in the order. The waiter said the kitchen was "backed up". Our poor waiter was running around frantically because he had too many tables. He was a nice guy and apologized. I felt bad for him. Our coffee was barely refilled. When you pay this much money for a simple breakfast, you expect a much better experience than the one we had. There weren't enough servers at any of the restaurants. Long wait times at the front desk. No one answers the phone at the front desk. No one at the concierge desk. No one answered the concierge phone number. Housekeeping failed to replace our coffee pods and creamers/sugars, failed to replace or shampoos and soaps each day. This is not the service I'm used to at a Ritz Carlton. For the price we paid to stay at the "Ritz", we expected "Ritz" quality service. Everyone was extremely nice, but they just seemed overworked and understaffed all the way around. I wish we would have stayed at the Four Seasons or somewhere else. Save your money and try a different hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Great Hotel and Excellent Service.

Maybe we just weren't as high maintenance as some of these others who need to find everything to complain about, but our stay here was excellent. We had two dogs travelling with us and requested a first floor room so we could take them out easily. After checking in and getting all of our bags delivered, we requested a different room as ours overlooked the road and there was nowhere convenient for the dogs to do their business. They quickly moved us to a second floor room, that had a grassy area oustide which worked perfect. They came and picked up our bags and took them to the other room. Everyone was super helpful. The hotel was very nice and we had nice outdoor seating we could enjoy with our dogs after a hike or a day exploring nearby cities. The staff was welcoming and always happy to say hi to the dogs. Brent was very helpful and went out of his way to help us get food from Sakaba outside while enjoying the nice weather. The pool and hot tub were a nice way to spend our last afternoon, before enjoying a delicious dinner at Wyld. We definitely enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to anyone. Way overpriced for what you get.

This is an older hotel. Rooms are nothing special. Everything here is way overpriced for what we got. Restaurant is not always open. They need to teach bartender how to mix drinks. I was extremely in this Ritz. It is not up to Ritz standards! Service was intermittent and staff did not really care. Only good thing was large TV. I will never go back! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We could not have asked for a better stay at the Ritz. My husband and I went for a special occasion and we were treated so well that I’m already excited to make it a tradition for years to come. Daniel made the most wonderful first impression of the property, Dustin was welcoming throughout the entire stay and graciously put up with me asking him tons of questions about the property. Jeff, Ben, and Matt Lee made us feel so special. Lastly, above anyone Johnny felt like a life-long friend. Because of his kindness, we cannot stop recommending the property to anyone that we can.
