Top Notch

As someone who travels 200+ nights a year, I’ve become a self proclaimed “hotel snob.” I’ve had the pleasure of staying at several Ritz properties as well as JW, St. Regis, and Four Seasons. I’ve lost my love affair with Ritz over the past several years as the brand in my opinion has gone downhill. My company is based out of Boston so I am here frequently and normally stay at The Liberty. We came to Boston to see Billy Joel at Fenway. I was slightly skeptical due to few negative reviews on TA, but booked regardless. I didn’t know what a treat we would be in for. **disclosure: I do have Titanium status** Upon check-in we were told that our room wasn’t ready, and wouldn’t be for a few hours. Not the best start. As my other half was getting ready in the restroom, they did some magic and had a room for us. The hotel was 100% booked so there were no upgrades available. Fine by me, as I never count on them. If I want a better room, I can always book it. We were pleasantly surprised to have a top floor room overlooking the garden. The house car was always available to take us to our destination, and the drivers provided the right amount of city education while not over-talking. Concierge was fantastic, booking us a last minute massage next door at Equinox. While a separate review, one of the best either of us has had. The highlight is here... checking in we discussed what we were in town for. We came back from the concert Saturday night to find a handwritten card, picture of Billy Joel, and a treat from someone very thoughtful at the front desk. These are the “little things” they differentiate a brand and a property from the rest. What an amazing experience. I’ve found my new go-to Boston hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Exceptional!!!

The staff went beyond expectations and ensure we had everything we needed. They were very curteous & professional. Shout out to Dorian at the Club Dinning room and Meghan at the front desk. They treated us like VIPs. Always treated us with a smile and accomodated us with all our requests. The club bedroom was clean and comfortable. We recommend this hotel and will definitely come back very soon. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Sophisticated and conveniently located

I loved staying at the Ritz Boston as the staff are extremely attentive, friendly and accommodating. In room dining was the bomb; the food was great but the service was even better. Valet and bell service are also phenomenal! I am never disappointed when I stay at the Ritz Carlton and the Ritz Boston kept my great stay streak! Further the hotel is located in the heart of downtown Boston and in walking distance of so many attractions and great eateries! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Terrible Hotel

Sep 3rd, 2019

We have stayed at ritz Carlton’s before and loved. This is hotel was not like the other properties. It’s dated.. the pool is attached to a gym and gross... the service is mediocre...the restaurant is terrible...the club floor had terrible food and rude staff. Stay somewhere else! Not worth it at all TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Average for Ritz brand

Rooms are ok. But spa is not good. Initially the room we were given but managers Paulina and Megan upgraded us due to my Titanium status. The lounge - is small but quite good in terms of food. Not the best Ritz-Carlton I have seen but ok. Better than Ritz NYC Central Park one. But worse than Ritz Toronto one for example. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
