We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to visit again. We travelled as part of a group and couldn’t be more pleased with the level of service we received. Special thanks to Shelley and Otis for making our stay exceptional. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The Ritz-Carlton delivers with a outstanding staff

Jan 21st, 2020

From the moment you walk in, the Ritz-Carlton staff let you know why you paid a little extra. Cocktails and fresh rum cake awaited us while we checked in. Every, and I mean every staff person we interacted in should why Ritz-Carlton people and service is the best in the world. The hotel setting is perfect with plenty of room to roam pools, bars, restaurants and the ocean front/beach. Bar Jack was our favorite spot. And the spa? Well lets just say I have been to many, and this team was right there with the best. It was our first trip to the Cayman Islands and we know we will be back. And when we do, it will be at the Ritz! A Five Star rating is not enough

We stayed at the hotel to attend the "Grand Cayman Cook Out". Over the last years, we have attended many food events, such as the ones in Aspen and South Beach. They were very nice, but they cannot be compared with this one. The organization, the quality of service, the notoriety of world-class chefs, and above all, the genuine care that the Ritz-Carlton staff displays made this experience a life-long memory. Outstanding service but feels like a mall

Jan 19th, 2020

Outstanding service all around to a fault. I usually do not seek out this level of service but as I was traveling with a mobility impaired person it really made a difference in terms of travel ease. Property is super clean and well maintained. My issue with the property and the reason I would not likely return is that it does not feel like a beach resort. It has a closed mall type feel. I prefer a more open air type property. The other main issue is that the beach chairs are set up body to body. If you are not in the first row you will not see the water as the chairs have a canopy rather than regular umbrellas and the best views are obstructed by cabanas also for sale. On top of that on two of the five days we were there the hotel sold out part of the beach for a wedding so it was even more crowded. Seems like the place is set up for revenue maximizing. At the prices they charge I expect a bit more beach space. I would not recommend resort for any type of romantic holiday. There are way too many children here as the property intentionally caters to families. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

My wife and I spent a week's vacation to celebrate my birthday at the Ritz-Carlton on Grand Cayman the week of January 5th. We were fortunate enough to have a room on the Concierge Club floor. It was the most enjoyable vacation we have ever taken. The amenities, cleanliness and attention to detail were extraordinary! We started every day with a visit to the Concierge Club Lounge and there we met a wonderful host, Christian and a wonderful hostess, Luz. The Club Lounge staff sent me a signed birthday card and delivered a Ritz-Carlton baseball cap to my room. The night of my birthday celebration the Lounge Staff gave us an informal, spontaneous birthday party. Their interest in our well-being and satisfaction was exemplary. They were engaging, accommodating and personable without being intrusive. That led to our meeting and interacting with Sabu, Josie and Nepali. By the time we left, we felt we had made new friends from Grand Cayman. The staff's interest in us seemed genuine and honest which made us feel extremely comfortable. We had dinner at Andiamo one night and engaged our waitress in conversation, and the next day, we received a complimentary bottle of wine and a Caribbean Rum Cake. Such generosity is uncommon, in our experience, anywhere else in the world at any other facility. We also had my birthday dinner at Bleu and were waited on by Gabby who was exceptionally knowledgeable about the cooking process, the meals on the menu and the wines. She made for a very memorable experience and birthday celebration. We "made friends" with Mani who was attending at the entrance of the hotel. He was extremely helpful and before we knew it, he had sent us two beautiful Ritz-Carlton coffee mugs. He also offered to print out our boarding passes for our trip home. We spent our days on the beach, sunning, reading, swimming and snorkeling. I took two one hour lessons from Doris the Peruvian personal trainer who helped me strengthen my upper shoulders and improve my posture. I can't say enough positive comments about the exemplary and unforgettable service we experienced there. I hope that our paths will cross again, with the staff members i have mentioned in this review. Arthur N Papas, MD TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
