An outstanding and memorable hotel stay from check in to check out

Jul 16th, 2019

There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe how awesome this hotel is from the terrific staff, beautiful rooms, wonderful room amenities, great location, superior gym, fantastic swimming area with beautiful pool and spa in a large outdoor deck area with beautiful outdoor furniture and gardens, and easy freeway access. Cannot think of anything that needs improving. We look forward to staying there when we are in Los Angeles. It is being remodeled right now. We had Lounge access, and it is open from 7 am to 10 pm. The wine and alcohol drinks are complimentary in the lounge. Appetizers are delicious, and the small, but gorgeous desserts are delicious. The pastry chefs are so artistic and talented. The linen bedding in the rooms are high thread count. The rooms are beautifully furnished and are not tiny. A great property that is well located to enjoy events at Staples Arena, and to enjoy downtown Los Angeles. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This is an Amazing hotel

Jul 13th, 2019

My daughter attended FTIM and we stay here all the time so this is one of our go-to hotels. Service is amazing and so are the rooms. The beds are the best I ever sleep in and so are the bathroom services. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

LA Ritz Made Short Family Trip Exceptional

Jun 30th, 2019

My daughter and I had the opportunity to spend a night in a Junior Suite w/ Club. The whole experience was great - big, clean room. My daughter enjoyed the huge bath tub. The staff really makes the location shine (especially traveling with a child) - the club-team bends over backwards to help out in whatever way they need. The guest relations team reached out and made sure we were having a good stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Stayed two nights and to be honest, pretentious service that did not perform on time or up to standard. Lots of words and smiles, but not true kindness in any of the service. Spa gave a massage that actually made me ‘more’ tense; should have just relaxed in my room alone. Food was abysmal despite good presentation. Room was average at best. Much of the staff seemed young/untrained, and nothing gives the magic feeling that others give you. If you want a true Ritz Carlton experience in California, go to San Francisco or Half Moon Bay. Finally a Destination Fee that's Actually Worth More than the Cost

May 28th, 2019

Spent one night here over Memorial Day weekend when the nightly rate dipped to the low 300s. As with the JW Marriott next door and countless other properties, there's a $25 destination fee that permits $20 of spend on property. The main difference here is that the Ritz provides access to a number of activities above and beyond the amenity spend. It's possible to take advantage of any and all of them along with the $20 food and beverage credit. We enjoyed wine tasting with one small hot appetizer in the 24 bar as well as complimentary passes to the nearby Grammy Museum. We could have bowled nearby for free in the early afternoon as well as taken advantage of an on property morning yoga class or free popcorn at a movie theater across the street. We enjoyed the club lounge thanks to the upgrade certificates that arrive every year with the Chase Ritz Visa. The offerings were superb, but I would have preferred to mix my own spirits like at the Chicago Ritz or the nearby Intercontinental on Wilshire. I also thought the food selections were a bit better at the Intercontinental. And while the turntable and record setup in the lounge is groovy, the sound quality was not very good. I suggest a better amplifier/headphone combo. Perhaps something from McIntosh to suit the high end club and property. Room was quiet and comfortable and featured a very rarely seen any longer bathtub. Pool was nice and not too crowded while we were there. Not sure if it was status related, but we received a delicious meat and cheese board and bottle of red wine in our room after check in. We'll definitely stay again at the Ritz Los Angeles.
