Best Ritz so far !

Ive been to 6 different Ritz Carlton properties, this is the best so far hands down. The service form start to finish was perfect & I was there 7 days. The Asian restaurant was very good. The lobby coffee & drinks were phenomenal. The manager of this hotel deserves a promotion. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Amazing Hotel with outstanding service and breathtaking views

This Hotel is located 5 min walking to RedSquare, Gum and Kremlin. Truly 5 star service , special thanks to Tatjana Klubkova. She was very pleasant and professional . When we were leaving we got hand written card from her . She suggested upgrade to a suite with Red Square View - Magnificent . I am glad she did it was absolutely worth it . There was flowers and chocolate left when we arrived and left . The club house was great as well i would highly recommend it TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Stayed a very long 8 day stay in this terrible place. The only reason we didn't leave is that we have pre-paid. Issues with check-in (like show your guests the lift to the room, or at least tell them where breakfast is served- it was changing around between floors at that stage), issues with house-keeping (despite being asked for our preferences prior to arrival, this was not done), rooms not cleaned everyday, issues with O2, surly waiters and waitresses on Victory day, and THEN give you both a blanket and ask for one back- dude it's the RITZ- you can afford for your guests to have a blanket each, issue with breakfasts- taking plate away whilst food is still in your hands and mouths- oh well I suppose I will have to ditch the rest in the napkin. Issues with the hotel transport. Issues with the ignorant door people. (welcome your guests don't chat amongst yourselves). So I guess we complain, one would do after what they charge and PROMISE and then considering that the hotel is having an impact on our trip. So we get upgraded to the clubroom- I suppose to stop annoying their staff. Service here... but too late the damage is done. Then on our last night, I trip over the lip by the revolving door, putting my legs out of action, now for 4 weeks (1 of them home). St Petersburg couldn't have been kinder, sending bowls of fruit and ASKING how I am. Ritz-Carlton transport department asked to phone an ambulance? uh err what?? Complain to the Ritz-Carlton as seriously this is now costing us time and money (because your hotel driver had an issue with YOUR transport department over payment, so we have to stand at the door arguing and then I trip). Oh, the manager FINALLY e-mails back- still to ask how I am, but gives his apologies (bit late mate) and acknowledges there were many instances of poor service ) really? from the Ritz-Carlton?) and gives us 2 free nights anywhere in the world. Do we need more poor service anywhere in the world?? 100% completely MISSING the point. I wouldn't step foot in another Ritz-Carlton. The first experience should have been up to standard. You RUINED, my dream trip for our 35th wedding anniversary, cost me US $375 for a Doctor visit in St Petersburg and I cannot still walk on legs properly- since June 15. We wanted the hotel to acknowledge the harm and actually treat their guests as if they were guests, not a monetary transaction. I liked the pool and spa until I fell, and that accident ruled out any kind of that activity for the next 3 weeks. Today, I still have the grate of the Ritz-Carlton imprinted on my knee.! Stay away and do yourself a favour. The view from the O2 lounge isn't that great. You can see the same from other places. P.S I have THREE apology cards just over the service (not the accident) and you still cannot get it right. The manager in his latest e-mail acknowledges the lip at the revolving door, but then says I am the opnly one it has happened to.. (so I guess the lip is my fault eh) fancy blaming a guest haha TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Number 3 hotel in Moscow

It has been a while since stayed and i have to say, it is kind of the same as it was 5 years ago: a bit old and underinvested. Something is very slightly wrong with the hotel - some kind of slightly dodgy and corrupt atmosphere - difficult to put your finger on it, but one undoubtedly feels it. - There is nothing like at Four Seasons across the street. There is no style. Forget about Four Seasons - even Hyatt in Moscow has great own style. There is no “by gentlemen for gentlemen” here. Being in Moscow it benefits from having access to overqualified personnel though, which is one of few great features of this hotel. And obviously it has most amazing terrace, overlooking Red Square, Historical Museum, Alexandrovsky Park, where they also very generously serve breakfast. Although breakfast area here even in old days was kind of over-run by guest - now even more so, with inflow of impolite Chinese guests and loud Germans. I have to say guests are horrible - some one woke me up shouting at 5 am - and kept shouting till i came out to calm him. Next day there were really loud noises in the next room... To be fair now there are lots of noisy non-clean asian guests leaving horrible odour in the halls at like Lotte to - but they are more polite and kind of quiet. Or may be sound insulation at Lotte is better. Pool is very clean but tiny. More designed for children and disabled people. Most of the Ritz hotels i have been to do have tiny pools though. Except the one in Astana. Large but strange gym with no weights bar. Any way, i rate this one well below Four Seasons or Lotte. Kind of like Hyatt. Solid no 3 in Moscow. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great Service and Amazing Location!

The room was impeccable! Beautifully decorated with all your amenities you would need. I had forgotten my adapter for Russia and they quickly dropped one off to my room within 5-10minutes. The quality of service from all areas of the hotels was incredible and not to forget the location. It was walking distance to the different restaurants and attractions. I would definitely stay again in the near future! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
