Lovely stay

Jun 6th, 2019

I was upgraded to the Club Lounge section which was a pleasant surprise. While it is an odd 'hike' to that part of the hotel, it is absolutely lovely. Well maintained, comfortable, welcoming. My room was very clean with multiple amenities. I enjoyed my stay as well as the conference which I was there to attend. I also used the workout facility = probably the best I have ever seen. Well maintained, brightly lighted, clean! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Beauiful Hotel Perfect Location

Jun 5th, 2019

We just returned from a trip to NO and stayed at this fabulous hotel. The service at the Ritz was phenomenal. The hostess (Kara Lynn) who checked us was accommodating to our request and we also enjoyed the goodies she had sent to our room the evening we checked. Turn down service every evening had us spoiled. Employees at this hotel make you feel at home. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellent Stay

Jun 5th, 2019

Beautiful hotel located on Canal St. Easy access to Bourbon St and other French Quarter sites. Lots of restaurants nearby. Our room was clean and the housekeeping staff did a great job. There is free gumbo in the lobby late afternoon as well as jazz playing in the lounge. All staff were very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very nice but showing age

Jun 4th, 2019

The hotel is still one of the best in New Orleans, but the coming renovation is overdue. That being said, the rooms remain quite nice. They are not the largest, but they are well appointed and well laid out. I have noted on recent trips that there is substantial noise in the hallways. Part of it is the patrons who feel compelled to talk loudly while outside of someone else's bedroom (yes folks, every hotel corridor is right outside of a bedroom where someone is trying to sleep). But I suspect they could do a bit to sound proof things). TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

UNDERWHELMING

May 27th, 2019

This is NOT up to The Ritz Carlton standards. The building is underwhelming, the room was underwhelming, the shower was most definitely underwhelming!! The lobby was nice but it is on the 3 rd floor so you have to use different elevators to access the rooms or the street. I had a massage at the Spa and it was excellent! The facilities were nice as were the attendants and the therapist. Would definitely return to the Spa but not stay at the hotel! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
