Absolutely Amazing

Sep 21st, 2020

I stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Sept 16-20 for the CBF Retreat. I had the most amazing experience. From the moment I pulled my car up, the service was superb. I wish I had everyone names to thank them. Lynda accommodated me with my food allergies during the conference, which the food was amazing and the staff was great. The beds were soft rooms were nice . Everything was great. I also appreciate the concern for my safety from the two gentleman valet workers, on Sunday when I was leaving. Again everyone went above and beyond. Thank you TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Impeccable Service. This is How a Hotel Should be Run

Sep 17th, 2020

What stood out for me was the impeccable service we received, from the valet to the check-in desk to the manager, the restaurant waitresses and houskeeping. Check-in was quick. Anytime we asked for anything like an extra box of tissue or extra towels they were brought up immediately. When we thought that the bathtub wasn't draining well, a technician was immediately sent up (it turns out that the previous room occupant had turned a lever to fill the tub and we just didn't notice it). This was quickly resolved. We were also always offered bottles of water, which really came in handy with the hot weather outside. Although there was no concierge (probably because of the pandemic) the front desk as well as the valets and other personnel gave good advice on where to eat, what to see, etc. Our room was on the "smallish" side, although it wasn't too tiny. It had a marble bathroom with generous amenities. Housekeeping had to be scheduled. The fitness center was open. This hotel has valet parking only. Pros: (1) Impeccable service (2) Tasty breakfasts (3) clean (4) quiet (5) Face masks were required (6) Hand sanitizers readily available (7) Hotel is in the "Fashion Center Mall," which has a food court. (8) Across the street from CVS where you can get toothpaste, snacks, etc. Cons: (1) Valet parking only (2) Expensive: Valet parking was $35 per day, and expect breakfast to cost from $40 to as much as $80 for 2 people, depending on what you order - but you can always go to the food court at the mall next door . (3) Entrance was hard to find initially. We at first parked in the mall's parking lot because our GPS told us we had arrived. Although mall parking was cheaper, we felt that valet parking would be safer. You have to enter at the "12th Street" sign going to the front of the mall, which can be backed up. Then proceed to the front of the hotel. (4) The bed was HIGH. I had to climb into it rather than just lie down I would definitely recommend this hotel although it may cost a little more than, say, a Hyatt or a Hilton. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very disappointed

Aug 21st, 2020

I am extremely disappointed that the Ritz Carlton would allow a conference of attendees without masks put their staff at risk. Shame on you. My husband and I have eaten Thanksgiving dinner with you for several years but I do not think I will come back this year. Shame on you. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Birthday Celebration

Aug 5th, 2020

Our Suite at the Ritz Carlton was absolutely superb. The location was very convenient to the restaurant where we had dinner in Washington DC. The Pentagon was right outside our window. Lots of stores right outside our door. And, the staff surprised us with champagne when I arrived. So happy to have the Ritz Carlton among the hotels offered through Marriott brand hotels...
