We stayed here on our way back from the mountains in NC before heading home to FL. It was a very relaxing stay and much needed! My list of Pros vs Cons Pros: 1. The pool is great! Its a beautiful infinity style pool and an unbelievable view! The restaurant had good food and drinks, do yourself a favor and request Travis to be your waiter. He took care of us like we were the rich & famous and always brought a smile to our faces! Tell him Go Gators to get a good laugh! Also the pool staying open 24/7 was GREAT!! Night swimming was great. 2. The property itself, no matter where you go, is beautifully landscaped and gorgeous. 3. The smores and firepit were a big hit with my kids (and maybe me!) 4. We rented a boat with a captain and went out tubing... its a must do! I don't believe they're affiliated with the Ritz but we were happy they were there! We had Chase as our captain... such a cool kid and he was so good with the kids. This was our highlight of the stay! If you go tubing, you'll need more than an hour just an FYI 5. The water sports are fun too. My 8yr old daughter tried paddle boarding for the 1st time and she loved it. We took out kayaks too and explored the cove with the big, beautiful mansions. The water sports staff was willing to help us with whatever we needed. 6. We took out bicycles one day. You can borrow them. It was fun but VERY challenging. All the paths are hills and lots of curves. My daughter quit and we had to walk all the way back. Its hard for littles. But my husband, son and I enjoyed it a lot! 7. They have a nice playground in an area with cornhole boards and ping pong tables along a with a small chip and putt for the kids. 8. The hotel isn't too big that its a pain to walk the grounds. It was big enough yet small enough... perfect size 9. The breakfast at Georgias was very good! The food was great and they had something for everyone. 10. Last but not least... it was our daughter's birthday and the staff went above and beyond for her! Yolanda sent up a lil gift and balloons to the room along with cupcakes! She felt so special. Also, Kimberly went out of her way to make her day special too! She also brought her balloons and remembered her birthday was Sunday surprising her in the hallway to tell her happy birthday! Kimberly was sooooo sweet to all of us! Strike up a convo with her! She is exactly what you expect of the Ritz customer service! Ok so now the Cons: 1. First and the most annoying part of our stay... the club level. Yikes. We always get club level at every Ritz we stay at and granted this was the first time since Covid, but this club didn't come close to the service we've had at others. The hours were a mess. Didn't open til 3pm on Fri and closed at 9pm. We tried to stop in once in the afternoon on Saturday and were told no because they were cleaning for the next hour. I was not happy with that. The food items were very limited, hardly any hot food items or snacks and there is no dinner served here. I was surprised at this as they had very few hot items out for lunch. So they serve a decent breakfast, a repetitive bfast consisting of eggs, sausage, bacon, and potatoes and some lunch items.... but only hors d'oeuvres and prepacked snack items at dinner?? I had to run out for pizza one night and publix the next.... what were we paying for? Not acceptable for the price you pay for club level. We've never been disappointed with any other club, which is always something my husband and I enjoy the most about Ritz stays so thats why the review is 4 stars and not 5. 2. We were on the 5th floor in the new section, facing the pool area, and we could hear everything through the walls. I could hear our neighbors on both sides and while standing in the bathroom, i could hear their conversation clear as day. I thought this was odd. The room was a tad small too, but also had a lot of furniture in it that crowded the room. The wifi was super weak as well. We kept needing to reconnect our electronics. 3. The employees at the coffee shop were rude. I was spoken to rudely and thought ok?? But the guy behind me was also spoken to rudely. Ok... not cool. I wouldn't want to bother them again so I got my coffee elsewhere after that. All in all.... we'll definitely be back! We had a great time but we won't do the club here again unless they make some changes. Its a great hotel, with great views, lots of things to do, good service... i mean, we loved it! Exceptional resort and experience

This was our 3rd two-night stay at the Ritz-Reynold's Plantation and it once again exceeded expectations. We were able to check in early and they provided a generous late check out. I'm normally annoyed by "resort fees" but what you get for $53/night is worth it, and as a family with 2 kids (5 and 10) we took advantage: kayaks, paddle boards, fishing, nightly s'mores, and more! We could have been kept busy all day long, but we also enjoyed lounging by the pool, and walking the beautiful grounds and swinging on all the swings scattered around the property, We also took advantage of an hour-long jet ski ride, which was a blast. You pay a premium for motorized sports rental, but given it's right on the beach, it was worth it for the convenience. The staff was kind and attentive (thanks Angela at Gaby's poolside-she took very good care of us!) and the other staff at the pool who helped with bountiful ice water delivery, and towel/umbrella service. All the folks at the non-motorized sports center were super helpful and sweet to my girls. They even offered waters to our friends who kayaked over to us from their lake house two coves down. That's service! The food was fabulous. Gaby's for lunch/dinner and Georgia's for late-night bites. The pork nachos and Cobb Salad at Gaby's are out of this world. The room and amenities are solid. Plenty of room for storage, the addictive Asprey toiletries and a lovely balcony for end of the day drinks was relaxing. The beds are comfortable but we did get warm at night, and can only assume it was because of the massive and cozy feather bed because we set the room temp to 66! You know it's a great vacation when you research rebooking again on the drive home. We are considering spending Christmas there this year, since chances are slim our 2nd attempt at Costa Rica will materialize due to Covid..Thanks Ritz for an incredible staycation! Very Good but Not Exactly Ritz Level Quality

Have been to this Ritz several times and its a wonderful location and great staff. I didn't realize they had renovated recently and was surprised to see that! Rented room 120 (Executive Fireside Suite) and was impressed with how beautiful it was, but a little disappointed that it was categorized as lake view. It is lake view if you stand outside at the far right edge of the patio and peek around the corner. The gentleman who helped bring my bags even said he didn't agree with labeling this room "lake view." He asked if I wanted to change rooms, and I don't like being "that person," so thanked him for the offer but declined. After first night, felt dampness on the floor and thought it was from kids running around in wet bathing suits. Second night, came back late and realized the dampness had spread across the floor, wrapping around the column separating the living room and bedroom (where the HVAC components were housed...suspicious). I called the front desk (it was around 10 p.m.) to alert someone that I was concerned they were getting damage to their renovated space and was asked rudely if I wanted to change rooms. I replied no thank you but did want to alert them because I was concerned for their property. She said she'd notify engineering. 20 minutes later, engineering called and asked what was going on. I told them the story and they (annoyed) asked if I wanted to change rooms. (GOODNESS) Told them I didn't know what their protocol was, but that I'd be leaving the next morning if they wanted to fix the room then, or if they wanted to take over the room now, I was ok with that too - whatever worked for what they needed to do. The gentleman told me that they had fixed an HVAC issue the week before, so it was probably that. This all made more sense, considering the first night I was so hot in the room even though the thermostat said 70 degrees and only felt some comfort when it was 68 (which normally would freeze me out of anywhere!). There were other things: hair in the drain in the shower upon arrival, the left sink in the bathroom clogged when it had the drain plug screwed on top, and there was a giant dead insect in the corner of the bathroom that honestly I couldn't identify - and I grew up on a farm and have seen a ton of bugs. It stayed with us during our entire stay (I did not want to touch it). Finally, and this one is just confusing, we were told by the Ritz staff that we needed to bring our own life jackets if we wanted to particpate in any of the water activities (motorized or not). The family we went with called twice and were told the same thing both times. So, we brought our own. When we set up our chairs at the lake, the jet ski company saw our jackets and asked us why we had them. When we shared that the Ritz told us that we needed them, they were floored and said they would have so little business if that were the case! They pointed at a giant bin of easily 100 life jackets that are for guest use. We suggested they let the Ritz know that bad information is going out - we had to buy life jackets at the last minute at a premium (Amazon wouldn't deliver in time) and had to get what was available (~$100 a piece at Dicks Sporting). Painful. Having said all of that - the majority of the staff are really amazing. Extremely friendly and helpful, hard working, and ready to do whatever they can to make your experience perfect. Jack was down at the lake with us all day and couldn't have been more amazing! Some things I learned this time around: 1. The pool stays open 24/7 - which is awesome! I've got kids that love to stay up late AND love to swim at night with all the cool lights. They loved this so much. 2. They are not requiring guests to wear masks, although some are doing so voluntarily. The staff do wear masks though, whether inside or outside. 3. There are hand sanitizer stations all over the place, wipes placed in the rooms, and other precautions being taken all over. It's very nice to see them doing everything possible to keep guests safe. I will certainly stay here again. The location is fantastic, the overall staff are amazing, and the activiites are great for kids and adults. I do hope that some of the things we experienced will be fixed, as I know the Ritz brand is better than that! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Breathtaking, exquisite are just a few words to describe the newly renovated Ritz Carlton Reynolds plantation no expense has been spared this is truly luxurious lake property with so many wonderful amenities. The ladies and gentlemen of Ritz are extremely professional and aim to please. With the new unprecedented changes with Covid they have made every possible change upgrades to keep their guest and staff safe. We can’t say enough about Drew he has gone out of his way to ensure a flawless visit. Play a round of golf, jet ski, boat rental are all on property . You can canoe or paddle board on the lake or enjoy a frozen cocktail from Gaby’s at the infinity pool . When you are ready for some fine dining wander over to Linger Longer steakhouse for an outstanding culinary experience. If you are fortunate enough to have club access on the weekends. You will find the friendliest staff and exceptional food an drink offerings through out the day. We are sad to say goodbye for now but are already planning our next stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We drive a short drive from MADISON,GA every single week to visit this RITZ CARLTON. It is a short drive and is scenic and beautiful. The food is outstanding-- we love THE LINGER LONGER STEAKHOUSE! Please if you come to MADISON,GA-- go dine in this elegant restaurant, the menu is extensive, the service is superb and you will be treated with kindness and respect! They have a website for you to view and we suggest that you call the phone number provided for a reservation. The dress code is casual, so there is no need to dress up.
