Fantastic club level lounge & concierges

Jun 27th, 2020

I am long overdue in this review. I stayed at the SF Ritz-Carlton in Feb and March before the covid crisis kicked in. The club level lounge is the best I've ever experienced in the US. I am used to very nice lounges in Asia, and am always disappointed in US, but not this time. The food and drinks were excellent, and the ambience was lovely. Rudy the concierge was so kind and helpful, and genuinely friendly, a true hospitality professional. The rooms could use some renovations, but were comfortable and I liked that they were on the same level as the club. I hope to be able to return as soon as possible, and hoping the Ritz-Carlton team members are all doing well doing despite these difficult times. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Strongly recommended

Loved our time here. The hotel is perfectly located, it is fairly close to Chinatown, and within a walking distance to the Union Square. The rooms are peaceful and spacious. Very good view from the rooms. Very kind and friendly staff there, didn't eat there, so can't commend on the food. Overall it's a good stay TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Beautiful hotel with great service

Mar 10th, 2020

We stayed here for two nights. The location is great since you can literally walk everywhere. A special mention goes to the staff. We were not happy with our room and the staff were very accommodating in showing us other rooms that were available until we decided on one we liked. Also, we would like to mention the extensive knowledge of the city the staff has. We were interested in Art, Movies, Food and Sightseeing since we wanted to experience as much as possible in this short time. The recommendations were spot on every single time. Thank you for making our stay so memorable. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Interesting for Ritz

Mar 1st, 2020

Checked in, was to be upgraded, just provided a wider bed. Make matters worst, the room was “miles” away from the elevators. Requested fresh flowers for niece, instead received flowers in a big water vase. The first night I received 2 wake up calls which I did not request. The radio alarm went off in the middle of the night. It was not a pleasant stay. Can’t really recommend this place when you look at the cost and reputation TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Best night of sleep I can remember (while on the road)

Feb 25th, 2020

I don’t get a chance to stay at the Ritz that often but in this case I found myself at the Ritz in SF. On balance, I thought the experience was what I would have expected of a Ritz. I particularly liked this hotel’s location but the best thing was the bed. I travel some for work and never really sleep well while away from home. The bed was so comfy - I can’t recall sleeping as well at a hotel. We tried the hotel bar for some dinner one night and the burger was good but not amazing. Breakfast the next morning was pretty good and the service was excellent. I’d like to try this one again as it beats my normal SF hotel on so many fronts. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
