Critic Reviews

A huge (though relaxed) beachfront resort with reliable service, a great pool, a top-notch spa, and a modern fitness center, the Ritz offers more for the money. Less crowded than its hip, style-focused boutique neighbors, the family-friendly Ritz is still in a prime position to explore SoBe.

On the beach in the heart of the Art Deco District, this luxury hotel offers world-renowned service and rooms with lavish furnishings and appointments. ... The expansive lobby features a clash of dark hues, cherry wood accents and vibrant colors.

The interior has preserved much of the MiMo flavor while sprinkling contemporary touches – not to mention $2 million worth of world-class art, such as the striking pieces in the lobby from Catalan modern masters Joan Miró and Antoni Tàpies. The pool is still pretty buzzy much of the time – and especially during Sunday champagne brunch, which you’ll want to reserve when you book your room.

Gone are the heavy drapes and oil paintings that are the design hallmarks of most of the chain’s hotels. Instead, guests can expect a poolside DJ, a sunset synchronized-swimming show and an overall Art Moderne look that blends in with the neighborhood.
