Up to usual standard

A lovely stay, spotless rooms, great food and attentive but not intrusive staff. Not inexpensive but worth every penny! We particularly liked the breakfast service, again cheery with great atmosphere, bravo! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Birthday Afternoon tea

Outstanding from start to finish. Well worth every penny. Exceptional friendly professional service and such attention to detail. Felt thoroughly welcome with nothing being too much trouble. Amazing selection of teas, pastries heavenly 😋 scones delicious. Elasticated waists a must !! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Afternoon tea experience

Taking afternoon tea at The Ritz has been on my “to do” list for a very long time and we had a pleasant time but it wasn’t quite as I had hoped. The service was excellent and my gluten free requirement was well catered for, however the sandwich bread was a little dry and not the best I’ve had. Cakes and scones were delicious and there was a great selection of tea to choose from. The setting was lovely but the whole occasion felt rushed. There is a limited service time which flies by when you’re using the occasion to catch up with friends, as we were, and we were still eating whilst the next service was being seated, despite arriving on time and the service being quick. I don’t know if we would have been asked to leave but we did feel we have to finish up and go. It may have been partly due to the impact of COVID but it didn’t feel like we could embrace the occasion, being directed out of the door as soon as we’d left the eating area. For someone who doesn’t visit establishments like this on a regular basis it should have been a special occasion but I felt like I was on a conveyor belt. Having had many afternoon teas across London hotels I would not hurry back here and would instead return to a cheaper and more informal establishment where you can take time to enjoy the occasion. Poor service inexperienced staff

We stayed at The Ritz Hotel Bed Breakfast We also booked Friday night at the Ritz in the mitchelin Star restaurant we were booked in at 8-15 pm we arrived on time to be seated, we were told to take a seat and the Man gestured to a desk ! We sat we waited and waited 15 minutes later my partner enquired what is happening he was told the guests who were on our table would not leave ! We waited and waited at 8-45 pm my partner went to reception to ask for the manager who was not available! We were eventually seated at 8-50 pm and told we would be looked after we received 2 complimentary drinks, BUT the delay and lack of explanation had taken the edge of the evening why could they not have told us the delay and offered us some time in the cocktail bar ! Instead of being seated at a desk. My main meal was served just warm not hot but by this time I had no faith they could heat or replace my dish the evening was spoiled I would look at other hotels I would not recommend this place for dinner poor show Ritz bad service I also had to ask 3 times for the iron forM room service This had been requested Be email too. You would think in these strange difficult times you would make sure all guest were happy and would be thinking of returning, NOT US TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Our anniversary trip

We had the best experience at The Ritz hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially the doorman Fred. Fantastic time there. I thought it would be very snobby as we are normal working class people. It was the best time. We were upgraded without even asking.
