Mistreated terribly

Jul 20th, 2020

No words, have not been treated that way ever... front desk girl was so rude and nasty. Yes I came from Miami , I took a COVID test I’ve been to three other hotels here in NewYork no problem (Hendricks and Mondrian in midtown) both were awesome ... I had surgery here and it was the last night before I leave home tomorrow and she started to give me a hard time , I said I’m under a dr care I understand the governor and quarantine I’m not some idiot flying in from Miami checking in to hotels and spreading covid The other hotels didn’t it harass me at all. Legit had high risk surgery so had to quarantine here and take COVID test; I showed her my stitches and surgery and had to ask her if she wants my COVID test from the dr I mean what is happening here? I said you’re upsetting me I don’t want to stay here now she said than don’t I left crying and I feel super mistreated, I’m a reasonable person some say I am a pushover , this was just out of the box. I want my refund and I want them to understand it’s not ok to treat someone that way. I have a business and I would never treat anyone unjust everyone who walks in with a mask wanting a service respecting the rules is welcome. Your license can say Timbuktu or trump or Biden’s address I don’t care , you can be any color or religion or race. On top of feeling vulnerable with my face surgery , and her assuming and harassing me because my home is Miami, I’m also ethnic and it was just a trifecta of complete atrocity. And I left crying nowhere to go Shame on you Roxy that’s really horrible business morals ethics and human decency. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

One night stay in NYC

May 5th, 2020

My wife and I were looking to switch things up and get out of our apartment on a Saturday night to do something fun and interesting. This hotel was the perfect place. Amazing aesthetic right when you walk in, cool and clean rooms, plenty to do once you are there and the MOST AMAZING SUNDAY BRUNCH. Can't recommend this place highly enough. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Fab hotel - expensive and not my ideal location personally, though and dreadful front desk service

Apr 15th, 2020

I booked here because its sister hotel The Soho Grand doesn't have twin rooms. My personal preference would have been to be more in the Gramercy area rather than so far downtown but it's very easy to get everywhere from here - though if you're going uptown you'll need a cab. The rooms are fab, really lovely. Don't forget to order your pet room goldfish in advance! The bar is cool, and there's outside seating on the pavement. The interior design with the big atriumis fantastic. We didn't really eat here - too expensive and not our type of food - we tended to go to local diners and bars. My only real issue is the front desk and the time it took to check in. It was interminable and our rooms still weren't ready for hours. After a long transatlantic flight that really was the last thing we needed. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Fabulous hotel set in a time warp

Mar 18th, 2020

The hotel is actually not that old but you are transported back to the 20’s quite an extraordinary hotel and a must stay in New York. The bar in the cellar is themed 1920’s jazz and so cool. Enjoy we did. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Love Tribeca!

Mar 13th, 2020

We usually stay in midtown but opted for Tribeca this visit. What a great choice! The Roxy staff was amazing. 5 Stars for Omar at the desk and Don at the door. You guys made us feel so welcomed. The jazz club downstairs was such a treat. We didn’t hear sirens and horns honking at night like in midtown. The neighborhood was fairly quiet and there were many very good restaurants to eat at in close distance. I’m sure we will be back. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
