Just One Night
Dec 2nd, 2020
Used my FREE(?) night as an accor member at the Sebel ( +$100) as a free night has a value! Good view of the viaduct and harbour from the fourth floor but be aware that you can hear the patrons at the nearby restaurants and bars! Welcomed as an Accor member, very easy check-in -check-out TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Should not be an Accor Hotel
Nov 24th, 2020
Stayed one night in the Sebel. Checked out early and transferred directly to the Sofitel instead. Primary reason for booking the Sebel was location, secondary reason was that it was under the Accor umbrella, assuming it would be good. Service was terrible, Check-in took over 20 minutes, no Gold benefits given, male receptionist took a phone call during check-in!? Female receptionist noticed and stepped in quickly to complete the check-in. No mini-bar, no snacks, not even water in the room. Check-out took 10 minutes. Will not be back and highly recommend it is removed from the Accor Brand of hotels. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Great seminar experience
Nov 16th, 2020
We again ran a 3-day PCM Seminar at your hotel, and some of our seminar attendees also had their private rooms in your hotel. Both accommodation and seminar venue were fabulous, our attendees praised the service and the food. Excellent location to run a seminar - we will be back! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Best on the Via Duct
Nov 9th, 2020
I stayed in the Sebel for nearly 60 days from mid Sept to Mid Nov 2020. I was in the one bedroom suites during this time, moved twice to other rooms just for a change of scenery. Overall this hotel is good, location is the best, rooms are outfitted nicely with kitchens and laundry. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Sometimes it was a little slow checking in or checking out which, left me scratching my head. If you choose the optional breakfast it’s at the Giraffe restaurant which is a delightful place in the same building but under separate management. (Separate review). The rooms are dated, furnishings though clean and in good repair are old. Some of the rooms were better than others. Overall it was acceptable but considering this hotel is in a high end area it could certainly do with a refresh. There are many bars and restaurants to choose from around the via duct which brings me to another point which is the noise level. At night the party starts and continues till the bars close pretty much 7 days a week, weekends being the noisiest. If it’s peace and quiet that you are after I would either choose a city view room or another hotel. However, I didn’t really mind it. The great view and ambience of the via duct makes up for all the short comings and I would gladly and likely stay there again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Fantastic Location and service!

Great location close to restaurant's etc and handy to city! And the winner the staff second to none! I can not say enough about how good the staff are here. Nothing was a big issue! Would highly recommend and will definitely be back! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
