Spectacular

Feb 17th, 2020

It is probably the most spacious hotel I ever stayed at. Both the room (with floor to ceiling glass windows, with a spectacular view) and the communal areas are huge. But still they manage to create a cosy feeling. Food is great and the concept with all inclusive makes the stay easy (and of course, very expensive). Beside the overall luxurious feeling it was the quality of the guides that made our stay extra memorable. The really engaged in our excursions and were very knowledgeable. Don’t miss the somewhat hidden second restaurant with all meals prepared over an open fire. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Eclectic and historic. Great stay!

Stayed at the Singular for 1 night before heading into Torres Del Paine park. Toured the hotel and enjoyed the remnants of the old butcher and cold storage plant. Located 3 miles outside of Puerto Natales. They have bikes for use. We took a taxi into town and walked back which is a nice walk along the lake if the weather is nice. Had dinner at El Asador which was incredible. Really enjoyed the rooms with a beautiful view of the lake. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Wonderful stay in lovely hotel

Feb 8th, 2020

The Singular is the terrific combination of old and new, design forward yet comfortable. The pictures, as all pictures of Patagonia, are accurate but can't reveal the scale of the beauty. When you walk into your room, a room that would be lovely on its own, you are momentarily stunned by the spectacular view out your window...which is really a glass wall to the outside. Quickly, though, you want to explore the surroundings, have a drink or a pot of tea in the bar...maybe play some cards while you are hanging out, and prepare yourself for the excursions the following days. We were able to do three different excursions, all of which were led by knowledgeable and friendly tour guides---and included vast amounts of food and drink for lunch, Breakfast buffet was bountiful and tasty including eggs cooked to order. Every staff member we dealt with was helpful and friendly without being obsequious. As someone who lives in a converted mill, I particularly appreciated the design aspects of the hotel. How they maintained the sense of factory as they made a luxury hotel was of interest to me. It did lead to people's having to walk through some unheated parts to get to breakfast which, after the first morning, was managed by wearing a sweater. The huge window had much smaller windows on each side which you could open to help if the room got too warm. These were minor issues in a venue that enveloped you with such thoughtful comfort. Hip hotel in historic slaughterhouse

Feb 7th, 2020

Stayed 4 nights. Very cool decor/rooms and gracious staff who arrange/facilitate some fun activities. One of the best massages I've ever had in their spa. The setting is historic -- this is the meatpacking factory that started the labor movement in Chili. Biggest flaws: 1) no gym (seriously, not even an treadmill); 2) the guest quarters and restaurant are heated, but to get back and forth you have to cross through non-insulated factory spaces which even on the warmest of summer days are frigid; 3) isolated location and a hike from town; 4) nice presentation but only mediocre food quality whether catered or in hotel eateries. Spectacular hotel and setting.

Feb 4th, 2020

The pictures do not do the hotel justice. It is special in every way. A stunning repurpose of a sheep factory. I didn’t think I would be interested in that aspect - I sought luxurious accommodation, service, great food and wonderful scenery -the Singular has it all. Terrific staff who can’t do enough for you. Food is inventive and delicious with great wine. Spacious rooms and bathrooms with luxury linens and beautiful views Public areas are elegant but with rusticity. Atmosphere is not stuffy and fussy. A nice spa with sauna and steam room - each with windows facing the fjord. Pool was too cold for me but added to the ambiance in the spa which also had rain type showers. The hotel is five minutes from the Puerto Natales airport - don’t worry about airport noise. One plane every few days! There are excursions for all fitness levels. The crowd skews older with some families mixed in but they had excursions for my very active adult children. Not inexpensive but would definitely recommend. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
