Overview

Complimentary kids club
Ocean views are not available in standard rooms

It's not just the welcome rum punch talking – guests can't stop raving about The Somerset on Grace Bay's beauty. With 53 guest rooms and villas housed in three buildings that symmetrically surround a swimming pool, this boutique resort is certainly a pleasure to look at. The accommodations also earn high praise from visitors for their marble bathrooms, kitchenettes or kitchens, mahogany furnishings and queen-sized beds. (However, standard rooms do not offer laundry machines or outdoor spaces that overlook the ocean.) But there's more to The Somerset than meets the eye: You can participate in a variety of land or water activities, from Pilates to snorkeling to spa treatments to swims in the infinity pool (though some activities require a one-time fee). Plus, guests can try out croquet on the only regulation lawn on the Turks and Caicos Islands. Kids can also spend time doing supervised activities at the complimentary Caicos Kids Club. When you've worked up an appetite, you can either request a private chef to cook dinner for you in your villa or dine with an ocean view at the casual LunaSea Pool Bar & Grill or the upscale Pavilion restaurant.

The Somerset on Grace Bay is a stylish, four-and-a-half-pearl hotel located on Grace Bay Beach. The property's 53 units are swish yet homey and inviting – most are residential units with full kitchens and one- to five-bedrooms, but Queen Rooms with kitchenettes are also available.

This five-star oceanfront hotel is a treasure, not least because of its true 'boutique' designation – with just 53 units, the Somerset has fewer rooms than other comparable Grace Bay resorts. The luxury lies not just in the stylish furnishings, the built-to-last materials, the genuinely warm welcome, but also in the sheer breadth of space – why, the five-bedroom penthouse alone, at 5,300 square feet, is the size of a small mansion.
