Pleasant Stay

Feb 25th, 2020

I have been many time to this amazing hotel and every time I visit it feels more and more like my 2and home. I have seen the changes the new management under the leadership of its exceptional manager Dominoco has embarked on and they work wonders. From before arriving to the moment I step into this palace i feel well taken care of. The team u understands every single wish without asking long winded questions. The smiles of the team, the warmth of their greetings, the atmosphere in the hotel, the impeccable cleanliness... and not to forget the amazing breakfast with my favourite cheese and mindblowing local honey... something really to die for. This hotel and its wonderful team has a firm place in my heart and I will surely come back many times again, especially due to the personal and beautiful touches Dominico always adds to my stays. Once in a Lifetime Experience

Feb 16th, 2020

St. Regis Florence is a once in a lifetime experience (for an American, at least)! We stayed here when we visited Florence. It still has the Florence charm, beautiful artistic touches with a spark of luxury. We were lucky enough (thanks to Marriott Ambassador status) to be upgraded to one of the suites during our stay. The views were breathtaking from our suite! The staff was suburb and butler was excellent. Florence was our favorite Italian city and St. Regis was a big part of that experience! We are very thankful we were able to experience such an AMAZING hotel! We walked from the train station upon arrival and it was about a 10 minute walk. It was raining on the day we left, so we had a taxi called - which was €20-30. Easy access to all of Florence, we were able to walk everywhere. I am a light sleeper and from the fourth floor I couldn't hear any street noise (a common concern in a big city) or any hallway noise. Air conditioning was perfect and bed was comfy! Perfetto!

Feb 13th, 2020

We spend 2-3 months every year in Certaldo. About 55 minutes by train to Firenze(SMN). We stay with the St. Regis famiglia at least once a month. I use family, because once you check in that is how you are treated. From you warm greeting at the door and reception. Introduction to an incredible concierge staff and then onto your prestigious suite. Christian’s F&B staff in restaurant and bar have amazing skills and are not only attentive and friendly (multi lingual) The location is perfect! Treat yourself! You only live once. And you are in Firenze..Mio Dio! If you are a BonVoy member. Do it. Godere.🙂 TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Returning to a very special place in a very special city

Jan 1st, 2020

Most visitors who return to Florence Italy will tell you that it has a very special magical charm, that brings you back time and again. As a longtime Marriott member, the merger with SPG into Marriott Bonvoy now afforded a new great opportunity to revisit one of the special places in Italy: the St. Regis Florence. The hotel was built in 1432, by perhaps one of the most remarkable, renown, and influential architects, Filippo Brunelleschi. He has become known for the Florence Cathedral's, "Brunelleschi's Dome" as well as helping to introduce the concept of perspective. And Mark Twain, who wrote about his travels through Europe, in "Innocents Abroad", has been noted as the first American to stay in this hotel, which was known as the "Grand Hotel Royal de la Paix". The St. Regis, which is located in Piazza Ognissanti, is in a special location that begs you to explore both sides of the Arno River. However you begin to realize what a unique place you staying in: from the greeting, to registration, to the butler who has been assigned for your stay. The luxurious accommodations appear as if you time traveled back to another era which included, a full view of the Arno. Queen Victoria who also stayed here, may have marveled at this view looking down the Arno to the Ponte Vecchi. You don't have to leave the hotel to be immersed in Florentine history and culture. The walls are adorned with historical photos , an Art Deco stained glass and iron skylight, as well as wonderful restaurants including the Winter Garden restaurant with 1 Michelin Star. And all this is before you walk out the door to the magical world of Florence. I am very fortunate to be able to stay at and review a second special St. Regis this year and have added it to my Level 8 "Marriott Bonvoy Crown Jewels". TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
