Beautiful hotel with even better staff

Dec 8th, 2019

I ended up there because of a cancelled flight and the team at the hotel toook great care of me. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are very nice. It’s not near anything except NC State but they have a good restaurant there so definitely a place to go if you aren’t planning on exploring Raleigh TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Wish I Could Give It a 5

To start, I've been a Marriott "Honored Guest" (now Bonvoy) for 35 years. I'm incredibly loyal to them. This is a perfectly nice Marriott property - everything you would expect. As usual, no issues with the public spaces or our room. But am I the only one who thinks that $4.00 for a cup of coffee is unreasonable? In general, I feel the prices for food in their restaurant are simply too high for the type of hotel. $50.00 for breakfast (eggs, meat, potatoes, biscuits, coffee and juice - so nothing fancy) seems out of line. A simple SMALL dessert in the lounge was $12.00. I would expect to pay such prices at a high-end resort. I can only assume they are geared to the expense account traveler. Otherwise, I would give them a five. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Absolutely beautiful

I stayed at this hotel while on a recruiting visit with my daughter to NC State. This is, by far, the cleanest hotel I've ever visited. Lovely linens, modern bathrooms, and plenty of space. Location is perfect, right on Centennial Campus. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I would give a 2nd visit

Stayed for business travel. Hosted our company. I can’t complain about the staff. They were decent. The rooms were nice. The hotel has pretty scenic and they are right on the campus of N.C. State but the noise level is not high at all. It could be because I didn’t stay during orientation etc... I would give it another try if I were to stay in Raleigh area. Just know they charge your card for incidentals when you arrive however, never indicated that’s a requirement on the reservation etc.... a notice would have been decent to give. Looks aren't everything

Sep 28th, 2019

Stayed here just one night while in town for a convention. At first glance it is a beautiful location and the building and grounds are immaculate. The front entrance is very inviting and even when you get inside, the room looks very nice. The problem is once you start actually start staying the room, things seem to fall apart. This hotel is relatively new but the bed we had, the mattress was totally shot with sunk in areas and something was wrong with the mattress springs or framing. I mean like it squeaked without any extra circular activity happening! Also in the middle of the night an alarm in adjacent room went off and stayed on for a good 10 minutes and when we called the front desk they basically brushed us off. The next morning the front desk person was much more personable and empathetic but it was too late by then. Not sure this location deserved the Autograph Collection denotation. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
