Stuck-Up!

Nov 13th, 2019

This hotel has a good location for the most things downtown. It is clean and the rooms are fresh and modern, with smart lighting and heating. The TV and Internet is good. The drinks and the view @ the poolbar is great! The problem with this hotel is the staff and policy’s. The most polite and happy people at this facility was the homeless people outside the building, on our way to 7-eleven. We were always met with a stuck-up answer or direction. If you have a normal camera, don’t bring it, as you will be almost yelled at for just bring it into the hotel after a day of sightseeing. Also, be rich if you stay here! Airport prices are a steal compared to this! And at the airport you might get a smile! :-) Will not go back to this hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Missed every Mark

Nov 12th, 2019

We are the parents of the bride and groom that we brought to your hotel for their wedding weekend. Upon arrival Victor greeted us at valet and was very kind and nice. I tipped him $20. After that everything went downhill. Some waited over an hour to have their baggage unloaded from their car. We were sent to our room (329) which was supposed to be a Jackson suite and it was like a maze and not the room we were shown when Jessica gave us a tour. We had planned on using our room as a central location for the bride and groom and the many paying guests that we brought to your hotel. When I went down to the front desk to inquire about our room I was met with attitude. That’s how I would describe the remainder of the weekend. At every turn there was attitude as if I was the one that was wrong. During this process, I called down to the front desk and as Lorenzo picked up the phone I heard him say “well she’s in a wheelchair, or something“ in a rather disparaging tone. We were switched to room 326 which was fine, but the air-conditioning and the heating does not work. The bedroom is either freezing cold or boiling hot. Completely uncomfortable. Neither of us slept the whole weekend. The floor was dirty with debris, screws from some recent project, and a generally unclean appearance. When I called on the first morning after our arrival about the heating an engineer was sent immediately to the room within five minutes. He was excellent, thorough, diligent, and kind, however he did not fix the problem. He replaced the thermostat in our room and that did not fix the problem. While our hot water was appropriately hot, it takes several minutes of running the shower wide-open to get it there. Several in our party in other rooms did not have hot water at all and had to literally shower in a different room. At one point one of my guests was told “we don’t have another room for you to shower in”. That was the mother of the bride. On the evening of our rehearsal dinner we had a transport bus arrive to take us there. My wife is handicapped and requires assistance. I asked if we could bring the bus up into the circle drive and, once again, huge attitude. I was told that was not possible. I went to the front desk it was again told that was not possible. And then suddenly the bus appeared in the driveway. We walked out to get in the bus and all the valet iced us. No help. No Assistance. No on the evening of our rehearsal dinner we had a transport bus arrive TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Dallas 2019

Nov 10th, 2019

The hotel has several fun areas to explore from the rooftop bar/gathering area to the speakeasy in the lower level. From the moment I checked in we where greeted with friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are a generous size with very comfortable beds and pillows. The food in the restaurant is very tasty and served by friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great vibe...

Nov 8th, 2019

Great vibe. Room was unique and a bit modern, which is sometimes not good in hotels. But the Statler pulls it off very well. Everything clicked - great Wi-Fi, excellent DirecTV selection, etc. Rooftop Bar is a must see. Service in Scout was a bit lacking, but that was the only noticeable hiccup. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Anniversary Mini Getaway

Nov 5th, 2019

I booked this Hotel because we were celebrating our Anniversary, I wasn't to please with the bath tub it was smaller than the image on the web. The pillows was extremely too plush, no firm what so ever. I have back problems so I didn't sleep good at all. An artist was performing the same day we checked in and we wasn't informed. Had we been we could have gotten tix instead of finding out later that night we had to be on a guest list. I received an email my room was ready with my room number. We drove 2hrs to the hotel to find out it wasn't. So we had to wait until one came available and cleaned. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
