Beware the mini bar/customer service

Stayed here for my mini-moon. Everything was great until I received a $300+ charge on my credit card for the mini bar (which would basically be the whole mini bar). When I called to refute these charges, I was told that I would be put in contact with the audit team. No one ever called me back. I called every week for a month and a half and still no refund, no call from the audit team, and now I’m out $300. frustrated because this almost doubled my hotel stay TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I stayed at this hotel for 4 days in September 2020. They were on top of the COVID regulations and all of the staff were wearing masks. I felt comfortable staying here. My room was very comfortable & clean and I had a nice view of the residence pool area. I enjoyed meals at the Over Easy restaurant where all of the staff was very nice and accommodating. I want to give a big shout out to Rodney(manager) who was very nice and made sure everything was going good with my stay! I will definitely recommend this hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Rooftop Pool issue/Poor hotel staff

We made reservations for what we thought was the rooftop pool and ended up at another pool that we were not happy with. The security at the pool was very rude insinuating that we could not afford to pay the price for the rooftop pool. Another hotel member in a suit clearly kept ignoring me when I was asking for assistance by the pool. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

My fiancé surprised me with a weekend stay at The Statler & it was amazing! The room was very clean & they checked our temp when we entered the location. Friday night, we went to The Scout & it was a lot of fun. Bartenders were great & provided great service. We had reservations for the pool & Theo was very nice to us & looked out for us. They had to shut the pool down due to lighting in the area & we were allowed to come back the next morning. Theo even escorted us to the waterproof bar to grab some drinks & head back to the pool. The woman with blonde hair was rude to us before we could even order a drink & just stared at us saying “the pool is closed” (there was 2 women in the pool by the way) we let her know that we were from the 3rd floor pool & then she took our order. Unfortunately, We had reservations at The Waterproof for 10pm & the manager (I suppose) called my fiancé 45 minutes before our reservation to tell us that our reservation would have to be cancelled due to the Covid restrictions & weather. But I didn’t understand how they allowed other reservations to go through after ours so I called her back to get clarification. Ruby or whatever her name is lied on my fiancé claiming that he hung up on her which wasn’t true at all. as nice as that rooftop area is, I will NEVER spend my money there. The Statler should cut all ties with Waterproof. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Called for an early check in and was told it was ok. Arrived and the front desk asked why I was there early. Got to the room and the blinds would not close, the phone was covered in food and did not work. Went the the front desk and was told that I should try to fix the phone and curtains myself. After persisting, engineering was called to fix the room issues. I felt unwelcome and stressed having to deal with things that should not be fixed. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
