Great value in Snowmass

Jul 30th, 2020

The Stonebridge is an older property that has been updated, and it's a great value in what is a very expensive area. The biggest positives were the location, the parking, the pool area, and the bar/restaurant. This is a slopeside hotel in a perfect location in Snowmass, about halfway up the hill to the mall. Walking distance to plenty of dining options. There was also very convenient bus access and free parking right across the street from the hotel. Check in is easy - luggage carts were available to get all our gear up to the room quickly. The pool area is very nice and super clean. We were there during COVID procedures and we were required to book time in advance, but it was actually really nice, as the pool was never crowded. The pool water is nice and warm, and the hot tubs are HUGE and so perfect, I bet it's great for after skiing. The pool area wsa constantly kept clean, we really enjoyed it. We made several trips to the bar in the lobby, they had great happy hour drink specials and a very nice patio for enjoying the beautiful weather with flowers and fire pits. The room itself was OK - it's an older property and you can only do so much to update this building. The king bed is comfortable but the sofa bed our kids slept on was absolutely horrible. Don't count on anyone over toddler age sleeping there. The bathroom was old but nice and clean. There's a fridge in the room. We were not bothered by the lack of AC, but please know it's very typical in the mountains. I'd stay here again, it's really a great value for what we paid. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great place for a summer visit to Snowmass

Jul 29th, 2020

We spent 5 wonderful nights at the Stonebridge Inn during a summer family vacation to Snowmass. The first thing to say is that it was extremely affordable--much less than I expected to pay. We were in a standard hotel room, which made for a tight fit for our family of 4, but it was comfortable and had what we needed. We didn't plan to be in the room much anyway, considering all of the amazing things to do outside. The facility was clean and the staff was friendly. Prime location for all Snowmass Village activities--right in the middle of the Mall and Basecamp. I can imagine this is perfect access during the winter months as well. We had such a great time in the area that we decided to extend our trip by one night, and Stonebridge accommodated that request with no difficulty. The only negative for us was that there was no air conditioning, but there is a ceiling fan and the windows open. We didn't use the pool or restaurant, but heard great things about the food there. They also took appropriate precautions for Covid, which was comforting during this difficult time. We'd definitely return on future trips to the area. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Friendly staff, dirty towels

Jul 29th, 2020

The staff are always friendly and helpful at Stonebridge Inn. However our bathroom towels were dirty and smelled terrible. I hope the staff will read this and wash all towels or encourage patrons to leave dirty towels on the floor. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Always Enjoy The Stonebridge

Jul 27th, 2020

The staff, from the bartender to the front desk to housekeeping, is what makes this place so great. Most especially your bartender during the daytime of July 13th. I think his name is Paul. The time before we were upgraded, without our asking, to a room on the 6th floor, and that was wonderful. We really, really appreciate the Stonebridge and stay every couple of weeks for a few days. Sometimes you get a deal and sometimes you get what you paid for. I guess for the area, I paid a good price, but the hotel was not worth it. I was on the ground floor in a dingy old room. The bathroom made me not want to take a shower and the whole space just felt old. The walls are super thin, I could hear other rooms all night. Due to COVID you have to make reservations for 1 hour at a time to use the pool, 24 hours in advance but you don't find this out until you arrive. I was able to get a one hour spot during my 2 night stay and did enjoy the hot pool. There is free parking in the summer but you are charged a 'resort' fee and this certainly felt nothing like a resort. I would not stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
