What a waste

Aug 17th, 2019

If you are looking for a vacation club experience, this is not the place. At best an average NYC hotel. Rooms are reminiscent of a ships cabin, tiny but not as well decorated. Location is fine but property is just not worth it. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellent

Aug 14th, 2019

This hotel was a highlight of our stay in NYC. Great location and service, room is good size and modern especially for NYC standards. They have a lot of little extras that were unexpected and fantastic. Eg. Free happy hour, afternoon snacks, tours etc. All the staff were very friendly and the hotel is nice. I will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Small rooms, great views!

Aug 13th, 2019

Situated no more than 10 mins from Times Square, this hotel is modern, clean and have a great team of staff who are more than ready to help you with anything. From our room we had a view of the Empire State Building which really emphasised the NYC feel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Dated

Aug 10th, 2019

The room really isn’t a vacation club level just be aware. There is a small fridge and coffee maker but that’s all. The air conditioning unit is very loud we had to comment but the engineer came said that’s normal for an ac..... The towels under the sink smelled of urine!! I didn’t complain anymore. Just wanted to get through our night and leave. The sink does not drain properly either. The plus side was the view of the empire state building. The location is great. The street is not loud for new york city. It’s really the dated rooms and the smelly towels that was a huge drawback for this hotel. The manager was aware of the ac droning noise so offered us a discount. Its just too bad since the location is good. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Unacceptable For The Marriott Brand

Aug 7th, 2019

I was scheduled to stay at this hotel for 4 days/3 nights. I decided to leave after one night. The staff at the front desk was not super helpful. I ended up in an ACA room, without being told about it first. The front door to our room stayed open for at least one minute when you would open it and there was no option to shut it sooner. If you pressed the button to open the door again it just stayed open longer. In addition to this, we did not get an evening room service as promised. This left us without clean towels in the morning. Since the service was expected, the towel I had used the day before was on the floor. The room itself was very small, not what the images show at all. In addition to this, we asked the front desk for ice, and you could not get ice on own your own. We waited 45 minutes in the room and never got any ice. Finally, the elevators took at least 5 minutes to get to your floor. I have stayed hundreds of nights at Marriott's and have been a titanium elite for several years. I have not wrote a single bad review until this one. I will never go back to this hotel and am thoroughly disappointed. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
