The Stratford Hotel was Disappointing

Overall this was a disappointing hotel. On the positive side, the staff at the check in desk were helpful. We had booked 2 rooms. We were attending our son's wedding and one of our party needed access to the room at 12.30pm and this was allowed. However, there are a number of criticisms: 1. The signage for the hotel is set at an angle and is not easy to see from the access road. Furthermore, there is no 'dropping off' points making it difficult if there is lots of luggage for a wedding! 2. The marketing of the hotel is misleading. It implies there are good views of the area and green spaces on one of the hotel balconies. Well, the hotel itself is only 6 floors high so the view from our 'medium' room was of the 4 train tracks. The 'green space' for the hotel is on the 7th floor accessed through a restaurant which didn't open until 12.00. 3. Noise from the railway tracks. 4. The room temperature was impossible to control. We set it at 18 but it never fell below 23, far too hot for a bedroom. The lighting was poor, especially inconvenient for applying make up. 5. Breakfast was chaotic. We waited 25 minutes for our bowl of fruit! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER 

Birthday Weekend

From the off every member of staff we came into contact with was fantastic, especially the lady at reception who wished my wife happy birthday by name as we exited the lift on our first morning there . The hotel lobby / restaurant gives a great first impression. We stayed in a large room which was lovely . The only part of our stay that could have been better was breakfast , we booked on B&B basis , that included continental breakfast , however, the options for continental breakfast were limited and by 9am there were no pastries available . We paid to have the cooked breakfast , this was lovely but a little small . Breakfast wasn't a big problem, just a point for improvement. I would recommend without hesitation. Whoever is in charge of recruitment here has done a great job !!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER 

Style and relaxation

We had a great weekend at The Stratford. All the staff were excellent. We loved the music in the lifts, had a fabulous afternoon tea and enjoyed the laid back atmosphere. Handy being right by the Westfield for shopping and the Olympic Park too. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Brilliant Weekend at the Stratford, great hotel and facilities, on the doorstep of Westfield! Can’t criticise any part of our stay! Great, chilled atmosphere as soon as you walk through the entrance!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Stayed for 2 nights here and the hotel was beautiful. Very comfortable beds. The staff were always welcoming throughout the day and on hand to help with anything. I originally had issues with my booking and wanted to stay Thank You to Inga and Elisa who rearranged my booking and sorted out any issues to cause as little stress as possible in the most professional manner.
