Disgusted after recent stay.Used love this place. Horrible Management

Jan 25th, 2020

Worst experience ever & I travel weekly for business. Been here many times over the years and once loved it. It’s sad. I’ve never written a negative review before, but this last experience was literally the worst I’ve ever had in my life. What made a bad situation truly unbearable was the rude and combative management. Any travelers’ worst nightmare. Maybe great for college students, but definitely not if you’re a business traveler or looking for a nice staycation. Dressed up dump with very rude personnel who have no problem calmly telling you to your face that they don’t care weather you come back or not. Save yourself the madness and stay @ the Broadway. Or anywhere else, really. Life is stressful enough. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great Stay - The Tiger Continues to Roar!

Dec 27th, 2019

Catching up on some of my 2019 stays, and my annual stay at the Tiger Hotel was a 2019 highlight. This continues to be my favorite hotel in Colombia mostly because it is consistent, well maintained, and just edgy enough to make it fun. New this year was the Twain Missouri Taproom where 100% of the beer, drinks, wine, and eats are from Missouri. It’s an ambitious goal but well executed as more and more beer, wine, and alcohol are MO produced. It’s also a beautiful space. Also new is some Dali art up the stairs from the lobby, complete with the owner’s insights behind each artwork. But it’s the rooms and outstanding service that keeps me coming back. This year rather than one of the larger rooms (always worth the splurge) I had a totally standard room which I still really enjoyed including the large bathroom and Molton Brown amenities, which remind me of my years living in London. Housekeeping was perfect and the room condition also excellent. I didn’t see any flaws. Best of all, the room rates are very competitive. Though at times I wish it was flagged with one of my favorite hotel programs such as Hilton or Hyatt … it also means the room rates are lower which helps my travel budget. Can’t recommend this hotel enough for business, leisure, or families. And the location means you can forget the car! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great place to celebrate a birthday!!

Dec 16th, 2019

My family has been coming to Tiger Hotel every year during Thanksgiving for the last several years. It has become our family tradition. I have enjoyed it so much that this year I decided to spend my 50th birthday celebration at the Tiger Hotel. I invited friends from all over the area, KC, NY, Dallas, etc. We had a blast!! We started out Friday at an African Caribbean music night at the Industry located in the hotel. We moved to the the new bar, Twain for drinks afterwards. Then we did tons of events in Columbia such as laser tag and an escape room. Then we had the main birthday dinner at Glenn's Cafe. Everything was great! We stayed in one of the suites on the top floor. However, they upgraded my guests to rooms on the top floor also! Thanks, Tiger Hotel Staff for an amazing birthday celebration!!! Not great

Dec 9th, 2019

Stayed at this hotel for a couple of days of work. Not a good experience. Checked in, went to the room and as soon as soon as I walked in, things were not good. The bed was made but clearly it had been laid on as the comforter had the imprint of a body. I was exhausted from a day of traveling and I went to the mini bar which I never do and went to pour a glass of wine and the bottle was empty. Out of desperation I grabbed a couple of snacks and honestly they were so stale and old they were inedible. Clearly the staff does not check or restock. It was gross. Website said they supplied a blow dryer which was not in my room so I tried to call down for one. Neither phone worked so I had to call from my cell phone. I got the response " we will see what we can dig up". I so badly wanted to like this hotel as I am a fan of the boutique non chain hotels but they missed the mark. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Tiger

Very nice hotel in convenient downtown Columbia. Easy walk to any downtown locations. Historic hotel with great renovations. Great on site bar and separate restaurant. Be prepared to pay to park or pay for valet. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
