Complimentary continental breakfast at the Liberty Lounge
Some guests were not impressed with the service
Formerly the Ritz-Carlton New York, Battery Park, the new Wagner at the Battery provides hotel guests with impressive views of Lady Liberty. After boutique-strolling, you can unwind with a drink in hand at the award-winning 2West restaurant, before retreating to your spacious digs, furnished with marble bathrooms, Frette linens and high-definition TVs. Or, stop into the Liberty Lounge for free continental breakfast in the morning or gourmet bites and beverages in the evening. Most previous visitors said everyone, from the hospitable receptionist to the attentive wait staff, went above and beyond to ensure their needs were met. However, some guests were left less than impressed by the service across the hotel.

Critic Reviews

Travel Weekly

This was built as a Ritz-Carlton on the southern tip of Manhattan with the business traveler in mind (its meeting spaces are its bread and butter). Its relatively moderate rates coupled with an interesting location facing Lady Liberty (who herself faces the bay) has proven popular with tourists as well.

Formerly a Ritz-Carlton, The Wagner at the Battery features gorgeous rooms, top-notch service, and a premier gym and spa. "Battery Park" tells you you're in for a lower-key New York experience, with Lower Manhattan's quiet nights, cobblestone streets, and – best of all – rates often lower than luxury properties in town.
