If your here for business with government or for pleasure this place has a great location . River valley path way is just minutes away as is the legislature(free tours). Art gallery close by as well as plenty of restaurants. As I write this the hotel is closing the gym and pool for Covid restrictions . Staff is Friendly and have plenty of time to help due to low occupancy. Modern looking and clean . TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Went above and beyond

Job 31:32 But no stranger had to lodge on the street, for my door has been open to the traveler-- I cannot express how grateful I am to all the staff at the Westin Downtown Edmonton for ensuring their doors were open when I was in need. While other hotels were closing they stayed open, even at the expense of some staff using their holiday time, and even working shifts without pay to ensure I could be close to my husband while in hospital during this pandemic. Anyone can love you when the sun is shining, in the storm is where you learn who really cares. I encourage anyone, now, and in the future, to show support and stay at the Westin Downtown. They have special rates for those with family in hospital or seeking medical treatment. Special thanks to Joumana Ghandour, General Manager, for the smiles, tears, and warm “virtual” hugs❤️ TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Joumana Ghandour their GM is a service rockstar

Joumana is the type of GM who is regularly up and out watching, supporting and inspiring her people. The staff love Joumana - front desk agents shared she comes down to help out during high check in periods and is consistently caring to and guests. I had 2,000 people to keynote at the Edmonton Conference Center perfectly located just a few minutes walk away. I checked in late from a gig in Florida and received the wonderfully QUIET room requested. Thanks Joumana TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Stayed here for 4 nights while my husband was at a conference and I was working around Edmonton. The hotel was convenient for the conference but was pretty busy in the middle of downtown. The room was pretty basic and the shower was old. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. The underground parking fills up pretty fast but there is outdoor parking available behind the hotel which is very accessible. The hotel is also within walking distance To the Edmonton Oilers hockey games. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Quiet, comfortable, no frills business hotel
Feb 26th, 2020
Pros: Convenient and welcoming eating area in the lobby, friendly staff (Melroy was most helpful), heated underground parking, comfortable beds, hotel is well-run, room size was good, king bed without having to ask for it. Cons: Towels felt like sandpaper, decor is overdue for an update, bathrooms less than spectacular, parking is expensive. Overall, a great stay and highly recommended for anyone seeking quiet accommodations at a well-run hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
