Best of the best

The Westin Galleria Dallas is not even second to any of my Ritz Carlton experiences. I have stayed here anytime I’m in Dallas. I would drive across town just to stay here. Near perfect service and great rooms as well. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Perfect location if you have no car

Was there for a convention held in the hotel. Comfy room, slight wait time on check in at 9pm, easy access to mall for food and leisure. Gym available to pass time. A little bit of a Uber drive to airport (~$30) but not terrible. Great hotel for business. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Wonderful option if you're in Dallas for business

A nice distance away from the desolation surrounding DFW without being too far from what you're in town for. The room was spacious and clean and everyone from the valet to the front desk staff and especially the concierge (ask for Eloy!) was extremely professional, knowledgeable and most important, helpful. It also doesn't hurt that this hotel is connected to a mall. Perfect if you need to purchase an item you forgot--or just need to see if Nordstrom has your size. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Feels like bait and switch

Apr 3rd, 2019

I booked a room after reviewing the room description on Westin’s website which specifically noted that a Club Level King room could accommodate 5 people, by way of 1 king bed and a maximum of 2 rollaway beds. When I arrived at the hotel, I was then told that only one rollaway bed was allowed due to fire safety. When I approached this with the manager on duty, I was first told there was nothing that could be done. I was also told that had I booked through the hotel’s website, entering 5 people would direct me to getting two rooms. I booked via Expedia as it offered the EXACT same room. So after getting off the phone with the manager with no decent resolution, I looked up Westin’s website and checked if indeed booking a room for 5 people in a week from now would direct me to getting two rooms....IT DIDN’T. In fact it offered the same room along with the description that 2 rollaway beds were allowed in the club king room. I went downstairs to show the manager the website thinking that this should bring about some action, INSTEAD, the manager on duty backtracked his original response by saying that their staff ALREADY knew about this issue already and had previous problems with other guests! EVIDENTLY, their director or operations was supposed to “fix this with their social media”. So even though he was caught in a mistruth, nothing could be done. Instead of offering a reasonable option, he offered another room “with a little discount”. So because the HOTEL MADE A MISTAKE, I have to shell out more money?! When I told him I couldn’t afford that, he said “most people have a person sleep on the window sill”. Since when did a window sill become a “bed”?! There was GRAVE MISREPRESENTATION of the room on the hotel’s website and NO DECENT RESOLUTION was offered. My stay is for 4 days and that is pretty big money going to this hotel. The options given to me was 1) hey, spend more money on another room even though this was all our fault, or 2) sleep on the window sill even though this was our fault. (And that’s supposed to be a safer solution than an extra rollaway bed in the room?? Sleeping on a windowsill?! Really?!? Now that should warrant a safety hazard!) Now I’M supposed to find someone else tomorrow to talk to, not even offered to have their superior contact me. This is really a poorly handled management issue and gross misrepresentation of product. This is likely actionable legally. I see someone checks these reviews, so I hope someone who can offer a reasonable solution will get in touch with me while we are still in the hotel. Terrible experience

Apr 3rd, 2019

Checked into the hotel 10pm. Waited online for a while. Slow service. Got to my room the whole floor smelt like marijuana. Another fun perk the room over looked the ballroom, meaning people can look straight into the room!!!!! Changed rooms three times and the checkin counter people acted as if they were doing me a favor. Wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone that would like a pleasant experience! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
