Excellent all inclusive resort!

Dec 11th, 2019

What a wonderful week long stay we had at this resort. Beautiful property. Friendliest workers. All of the restaurants were delicious- and the buffet too. Room service was quick. Beautiful large pool with swim up bar. The resort has so many animals like monkeys and inguanas! Would recommend to all my friends and family to stay here. Right on the beach we were able to do excursions with Erik Garcia from trip advisor- horse riding on the beach and well as a day trip excursion he set up for us to Rincon volcano/hot springs/waterfall. He did a great job and was easy to communicate with via text message! Highly recommend. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

One of the best Marriott properties out there. Look forward to returning.

Lifetime platinum titanium member. Upgraded with certs. to Royal Beach Club Suite for 8 night stay with just my wife and I. First time to all-inclusive. Such a cost saving for all food and drinks. Property is massive and so much to explore and do. Lots dining options. Our favorites: Manglar, Cauri, Bamboo. Not most amazing food but very good quality and options. Book reservations for dining in advanced for your seatings. Big shout out to the staff who made the stay. Our attendants Bergen and Jairo were amazing at helping my wife who was still pumping breastmilk and storing in house freezer during our stay. Pool attendants Kenny, Gabriel, and Arrol all were amazing and speedy at bringing drinks and food. Alberto the RBC manager was amazing at making sure our stay was memorable with upgrade to cabana and ensuring got great treatment. Erik Garcia is everything they say in reviews. We saved money bundling a few excursions together vs. the hotel rates. Hes not pushy and great guy easy to find. Bring cash to save even more. Massages were great on the beach. The beach itself is beautiful but not best walking beach in all places. Hard to walk in sand but otherwise safe to swim and not pushy locals. Worth walk to Brasalito has amazing lunch at Argentina restaurant that just opened across the beach. We cannot wait to return with our family to enjoy the kids club benefits. Very safe and loved all the smiling staff with wildlife. Tons of monkeys iguanas and funky raccoons all over the property. Hope you do the right and stay at this place. Was happy I got to book before new property valuations but would still return. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great Place.

Awesome place and awesome customer service. I love the spacious rooms. I loved that the workout facility was open 24 hours. The beach was pretty much right off the resort. I really enjoyed the resort more than the beach. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Honeymoon

Dec 9th, 2019

We stayed at the Westin from Oct 19- Oct 27, i was a little hesitant to go before the trip because we were there before the new renos were done and we were reading about the rain and i was afraid those 2 things would make our honeymoon less enjoyable. I was so wrong. We had the most incredible time, we stayed in the royal beach club and it was amazing! The room was amazing and the bed was so comfy! All the staff were amazing and the food was great! Since not all the ala cartes were open they would switch up the buffet every night so it was something different. Everyone was so accommodating, we had no issues booking ala carte restaurants and when we asked if we could take some breakfast muffins from the buffet for our excursion they had no problem giving us a to go container which was so nice of them! The pool was also amazing, there were always chairs available and although we didn't participate bingo seemed to be a hit at the swim up bar! The beach was also incredible, we read the beaches in Costa Rica weren't great but we've been to beaches in Cuba and Punta Cana and this beach was just as nice. We saw 2 sting rays swimming in the ocean which was so amazing and we went sea dooing one day for 30mins which was so much fun! (you can rent them on the beach) The ladies on the beach that offer an hour long massage for $20 is also worth it, it's not the best massage in the world but listening to the ocean and getting a nice massage is really worth it for the experience. The only reason we gave the resort 4 stars is because we do feel we did miss out a bit because of the construction but we still had the most amazing time ever, we are planning on coming back for our 10 year anniversary! If you want to book any excursion go see Erik Garcia on the beach, he's always there wearing his blue shirt and baseball hat, you can't miss him. He was so incredible and so honest and would tell you the pros and cons of doing different excursions which we really appreciated. He wasn't pushy and would tell you everything you needed to know up front, and show you pictures and everything. He also suggested to get a sim card for Costa Rica for our phone and to rent a car for our next destination, he was so helpful with everything on our trip and we could text him from anywhere and he would help us with cabs and everything. He was honestly a life saver! We booked zip lining (We saw howler monkeys which was so cool! And the zip lining was incredible, i was so scared and they made you feel so safe. We also paid extra to have them take our pics and it was totally worth it! By the time we got back to our hotel we already had the pictures back, they were just so great) and we went to a sloth sanctuary (OMG! the best!! Tyler was our tour guide for this and he was amazing) and we also went to 2 different waterfalls (La Fortuna, bring your bathing suit and water shoes for this one! There are lots of roots in the water, but it was awesome! We also went to Rio Celeste which was honestly the most beautiful place ever! The hike kind of kicked our butts a bit but it was totally worth it) We felt safe and taken care of on the trips and it was like VIP, the zip lining was just us and the sloth sanctuary and waterfalls was with one other couple so it was really intimate which we really liked TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
