Disappointing on so many levels

Feb 19th, 2020

Let's begin with the positives. The staff was friendly and... Sadly that's about it. This is a tired, rundown and poorly maintained hotel. It's apparent from the cracked sidewalks, multiple pathway lights burnt out, trash left in stairways, etc, that Westin is squeezing every dollar it can out of the place and not putting a penny into its up keep. We stayed over Valentine's weekend paying a premium for a room that was anything but quality. Rips in the carpet, peeling wall paper, holes in the sheets and no toiletries beyond basic tissue paper and single ply toilet paper. Staff also seems to be spread thin as any request for help took significant time for a response. Even the most basic of services, cleaning our room, couldn't be done properly and timely. Management justified not having our room cleaned until after 4 p.m. as their "policy" that allows them to clean a room up to 6:30 p.m. That detail, of course, was not shared with us when we booked the room nor when we checked in. Save your money and avoid the frustration. You can do much better than this Westin in Tucson. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Impressive property

Feb 18th, 2020

I selected this hotel for my wife and I to stay at pictures of the beautiful pool complex it had. We needed a break from our Midwest winter. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate and it was rainy and cold for two days while we were there. I however had to get the bang for my buck and made sure I visited the warm heated pools which felt great in the rain. The gym was very nice and well equipped. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, the lobby was quite stunning and the breakfast package that I purchased was delicious. Made to order omelettes, fresh fruit and the waiter offered even coffee to go ! I wiould definitely return in warmer weather! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Watch out

Feb 13th, 2020

I prepaid for a room which means you're stuck with whatever they give you. I got a $350 per night parking lot, access road view far from the pool. Had I had the opportunity to know this I would not have wasted my time or money on a vacation. I could have stayed at any parking lot view hotel in Tucson for a fraction of the cost. I'm pretty devastated and will not fall for the prepay again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great spot

Great spot with great service. Tracy Hill went the extra 5 miles!!! Checked in early and Tracy fit me in to the room I wanted in short order. Everyone I saw went out of their way with every interaction. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Loud, crowded & run down

Feb 11th, 2020

Kids running around at 1 a.m. yelling "Marco"..."Polo" in the halls? Poor service in the restaurants & a rundown hotel? Never again. Apparently some summer rate discount drew in the crowd. They saved money; we had an awful time. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
