Great place but, expensive food and beverage

Jul 6th, 2019

Location was good. Hotel was beautiful. Room was comfortable. Service was attentive. Needs a concierge, as none available and front desk team tried to help with limited knowledge. Food prices were as if we were on the main strip at a major casino..... TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good Facility, Housekeeping Needs More People (or better management)

Jul 1st, 2019

I’m torn between a score of 3 and 4... My family reserved two rooms via a 3rd party app. A few weeks prior to arriving, I called and requested connecting rooms (even offered to pay for it as I have at other Las Vegas hotels)... arrived, and the rooms were close, but not connecting. I was shown the map and saw a lot of connecting rooms... We arrived at about 12:30pm, hoping to be able to check-in prior to 4pm. However, I was told that one of our rooms wasn’t ready and the other room still had the previous night’s guest. Got it, no problem, we are early. They gave us a pool key and told us they’d call us when one room was ready. I was also told they’d ask housekeeping to attend to the one empty room. At about 2:00pm I returned from some errands and stopped by to see if at least the one room was ready... nope. And the guest was still in the other one. I was told to check back again and they’d call housekeeping. At 3:10 I stopped by yet again, knowing it was before check-in, but was given the line about calling housekeeping so we could have a room... no dice. I was told the one was not ready and the other still had the guest. I was told to come back in another hour and I replied “since check-in is at 4pm both should be ready right?”. I was told yes. At 4:15 PM I went and still neither room was ready. They ended up looking at two other rooms nearby and after a phone call to housekeeping to confirm one room was clean, we got a key. It was about 5:30 before we got the other key. Don’t get me wrong, I understand that I don’t have to be given a room until 4pm... but also felt like I was strung along about the room. Why did the rooms all sit there without being cleaned so long? I’d they knew we were there already (not a lot of people waiting from what I saw) couldn’t they have directed housekeeping to that room? I also sensed frustration with the front desk on housekeeping. We had a banquet at the hotel that night so needed to get ready. The housekeeping issue was further highlighted by a friend of ours being given a room that still had occupants in it! The rest of the hotel is very nice and kept up. The outside fire pits at night are a nice touch. The indoor bar they had was very nice and their server was wonderful. She helped my family get some food after the kitchen had been closed for 10 min and it was a lifesaver. The banquet had just ended and the food amounts were small. Later on I went down to the bar for a drink to find it had closed. There were still a lot of people around, but it was closed by 11:30pm (when I went down). I’d keep it open later, especially with big events. Checking out was easy and the service by the the uniformed staff was great. In the end I was very frustrated with not getting the room quickly and being kind of strung along. I was also frustrated that our request for connecting rooms wasn’t fulfilled. Due to this, I am giving a score of 3. I do think that it was because we booked via a third party. We had other friends checking in and they all got their rooms upon arrival... (well before 4pm) and magically had all booked direct. As a Bonvoy Gold Elite I usually would book direct, but not when the room is $40-$50 less via third party. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Always top notch service and such a beautiful resort! You forget that you're in Las Vegas!

Jul 1st, 2019

We came here to spend the weekend for my daughter's 13th birthday and they had a blast at the pool and the nearby Aqua Park. They also had a movie night at the pool so the whole family got to hang out and swim while enjoying a movie and snacks. Such a great idea! Everyone really enjoyed it - from the toddlers to the parents. We'll definitely be returning for our future retreats and celebrations! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Peaceful Retreat

Jun 25th, 2019

This resort offers all you need for a quiet getaway---beautifully situated by the lake, stunning pools, comfortable updated rooms and a wonderful staff. The hotel was full and very busy with a dance/princess event, yet we hardly noticed. Check-in, pool/beach, breakfast and housekeeping staff were all warm and welcoming. We will return.
